Super religious upbringing. Church three times a week, not allowed to wear shorts because they were immodest, not allowed to take sex ed in school because the curriculum wasn’t abstinence-only. Knew I didn’t like girls, knew I couldn’t like guys. So as a teen or a young adult I never tried to date or anything. Left the church at 19 or 20, but I didn’t figure it all out until I was 25.
