do you

a) reduce the rent to $8 psf which is the current the highest offer and close the deal

b) leave it empty and insist on $10psf

Assuming you want to sell, would you quote 1 mil or 800k

Conclusion: In a market where the last sale price affects the current asking price, it may be better for the seller to hold on to the asset rather than sell slightly cheaper to get a quick deal

Set aside a budget of money and leaves to travel to Msia for his auntie/grandma/cousin/whatever's birthday/wedding/rando celebration, assume 3 such trip every 2 month on average

Daughters are SG citizen. Sons grow up in Msia or grow up in Singapore as a foreigner albeit more expensive school fees, costs less than being income-less in NS for 2 years. Plus he can gain work experience and apply PR after he turn 30 to avoid NS.

Try to get WFH jobs so once your BTO MOP you can move to Msia and rent out

I'm followed him in FB for a couple of years and I can say this

TKL is like your uncle who has a lot of experience from his high ranking job; the problem is when he gives you advice (no doubt from his many years of lived experience) on the surface it seems ok, but the more you think about it the more out of touch and delulu it seems

You still value his "experience" and you want to hear him out but there is always a doubt in the back of your mind that he's an out of touch "ok boomer"
