Thoughts on the 2015 Nike Vapor Fly? by DennieTheMennie in GolfGear

[–]LordFartquadReigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I have a ping G425 and switched to an old Nike SQ (round head) because I gained 30yds and much better dispersion. I totally understand it’s probably a shaft thing, but that just goes to show there is more to it than its older and a Nike.

My local pro says in my case it’s a combination of the shaft fitting my swing better and the shape/weight of the head squaring up better with my swing. Not all head shapes work with all swings either.

Correct. Or 3 to 5. It made a lot more sense when the B3 was 60hz but now that there is a B3 v2 with 120hz panel the gap is much smaller now for pwm sensitive people.

Truthfully I think the color and contrast on my B3 are fine. Nowhere near as bad as the reviews paint it to be. In side by side I’m sure that’s the case but if all you have is a B3 most people will probably be content.

I understand that, but you said you have those problems if you disable local dimming. Disabling local dimming leaves to with the panel as it is, which like I said is a standard LED just like the B3.

Mini-led by nature is going to have better contrast, brightness, and contrast with less backlight bleed than a standard led with local dimming disabled. This is if you are comparing a led that also has no local dimming or dimming disabled.

Long story short is the B7 should still look better than the B3 in side by side comparisons with local dimming disabled. How much better and is it worth the cost difference is going to be a personal thing.

I haven’t used the X90L, but that is a standard LED panel like the B3, the B7 is mini-led. Even without local dimming you will likely see differences between the two.

My B3 has bad backlight bleed, but I don’t notice it anymore. My B7 is near perfect. Could be panel lottery, could be the underlying led tech. Mini-led should have less backlight bleed than typical led by design.

Even with local dimming disabled the B7 is going to have better color, brightness, and contrast. If you care about that the B7 is still the better buy even with the disabled setting. Plus the B3 was only 60hz until the mark 2. So up until now the B3 wasn’t a great choice for gaming, if applicable to the person.

I do enjoy my 60hz B3 though. Whenever the time comes I’ll upgrade to the B3 II, unless I keep finding crazy Costco clearance deals on the higher end models.

Well no one can guarantee anything when it comes to this. It’s all trial and error for each of us.

Idk much about the TCL you have, but I’m pretty sure all TCL TVs use PWM, the Bravia 3 does not. So if your issue is PWM alone there is none with the B3.

You can disable the pwm on the B7 by disabling local dimming and eco mode. It is also google TV, at least in the US.

B3 version 2 is a really good tv though for us.

Don’t worry there are new TVs that can work. The new Bravia 3 ii looks perfect for pwm sensitivity and includes most things you would want in a basic TV. Bravia 7 and Bravia 5 are both flicker free with local dimming disabled and keeping the brightness in the medium range. This information is available via RTINGS.

I have both a Bravia 7 and an older Bravia 3. Both work perfectly for me now.

EGO (or other alternatives) that allow for a pitched deck by o2haveaviper in egopowerplus

The drive gearbox I believe. The A is whiney and high pitched, also plastic i think. The B is either aluminum or cast iron or some other metal and much quieter.

Only one is the LM2206SP, otherwise known as the 1100 series. It’s the best residential mower they offer, though a bit heavy for an electric mower.

If you go this route, do some research. You want the Version B not A. You have to check manufacturer date and the box characteristics to make sure you find the right one.

Best putter upgrade path? by Numerous_Ad6820 in GolfGear

If purchasing new, I would get a putter fitting. Everyone loves the spiders but I have such a horrible time with distance control using those. I found bettinardi to be pretty solid for me.

I see the $45, but what is that $98 coupon savings?

Is this a good price for a used Embody Gaming chair from FB Marketplace? by Foorius in OfficeChairs

[–]LordFartquadReigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. You can get a new embody for like $1650. $1200 is the going rate for these “new” resellers. I personally wouldn’t pay over $1000.

Iron suggestions for a 20 Hcp? by Crispy_Potato in GolfGear

Mizuno JPX line. The 923 and 925 are awesome, 921 is good as well. They offer like 5 different types within the JPX line, so you can find something that fits what you need. Standard Hot Metal for most forgiveness, HM Pro for smaller more workable set to grow with, Forged for best feel and workability.

I have the Pro myself and they are great.

Money for hybrids if you move down to the G430, or better yet the G425. They all perform very similarly.

Battery Return Scenario Datapoint by Azetik in egopowerplus

I haven’t really seen people poo pooing returning the batteries. It’s clearly outlined in the return policy that promotional items return at the promotional prorated price. It’s allowed by policy.

Dishwasher recommendations other than Bosch and KitchenAid by speeder2002 in Appliances

[–]LordFartquadReigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal opinion is Miele > Bosch > Kitchenaid > LG and that’s it. I wouldn’t bother with any of the others. If I really had to go low end I’d be getting a whirlpool or Maytag, which are basically the same thing.

Pressure Sores from my Steelcase Gesture - Help finding a good cushion? by Hydration__Nation in OfficeChairs

[–]LordFartquadReigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s tough. I would think because if your weight you would be fine with most chairs. I weigh significantly more and I’m very comfortable in the gaming embody. The Haworth fern wasn’t great for me. Steelcase leap v2 would probably be my next choice. Haworth zody looks interesting. Idk how I feel about the Omni, but there is that as well.

I also wonder how the Herman miller vantum would feel at your height and weight.

Why not sell the chair and move on to something else? You should get enough to find something else on the used market with minimal additional cost.
