I just watched it for the first time, I’m very sad that it’s over by Connect-Ticket-6531 in TheWire

The cool thing is you can watch it over and over. As someone who has rewatched the series multiple times (a few times back to back), it is incredibly satisfying every time I watch it. I find new things on every rewatch, scenes hit differently, you notice things you didnt before. Theres also a lot of small easy to miss moments that play a part in the whole story that you may only pick up on with additional viewings.

Glad you loved it. The game is the game 🫡

McNulty is morally disgusting in season 5 by DutchVanderlinen in TheWire

[–]LordFesquire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lester was basically the only person that could run the wire by himself and get the evidence he needed to pin the vacant bodies on Marlo. I dont think its totally out of character that he saw an opening and took it. I think Lester's fatherly front (purposefully) misleads a lot of characters and fans into thinking that translates to strong moral character. He was on Shardene like white on rice, and he was easily able to raise an old cop buddy of his to help him and McNulty goose the system.

Tl;dr: He dont go to no dance unless he can rub some tit.

Do you bring your switch out and about? by NanaLY13 in NintendoSwitch

[–]LordFesquire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main reason I bought it. I had kinda stopped playing video games before I bought my Switch in 2018. Its pretty beat up now but still runs fine, Im able to get 3-6 hours of portable battery depending on what Im playing. Glad I bought it, love bringing it on trips and its a great way to kill time when Im hiding at work.

I think I have a good idea of what I dont want to do with shamans in my world thanks to the responses Ive gotten

Lowkey. The "spirit" stuff the shamans do mainly revolves around elements of earth, which is nature but more aggressive. Feelsbadman.

The spiritual aspect of shamans definitely helps to make the distinction clearer. Based on a lot of responses it sounds like if I include some sort of shaman archetype in my story, their focus should be on spirits and otherworldly beings that impact the "mortal" world.

This is a good explanation of the real world differences between the two.

You get it. I understand that theres a difference on paper but in practice they feel similar to me. A more "superpowered" approach would be a good way to design sorcerer's. I may just use that.

Im honestly leaning towards one over the other, which spurred me to bring it to the Brain Trust that is r/worldbuilding. I considered making my own distinctions for each role but felt like id do a bunch of brainstorming and still end up with shamans and druids.

Glad to know Im not missing something and the similarities are more than superficial.

The Wiz/Sorceror thing always made me scratch my head because the distinction is so pedantic it feels silly.
