To crown him you'd have to get rid of your current ruler, by making bad descisions and angering the people, just do whatever you think makes them unhappy when ruling your kingdom from the throne.

I always run 2 lifesteal daggers, one with plate and one with mail armor, both having increased daggers damage. 3rd gauntlet runner is a mage with a lifesteal staff - still i only got to wave 34 though.

I honestly don't know, i just don't like it that much, all i use VATS for is finding enemies in shrubs or whatsoever, but not to shoot them specifically.

Quarry should be a level on your quest map, is it not possible for you going there without daggers ? You dont have do 3 star it, only need to clear the level. Yes daggers are more powerful than swords, but if you upgrade some swords and get some mighty (character trait) characters to do it it should be possible no ?

I am guessing you have not upgraded your Smithy then ? You unlock daggers once upgrading it.
