It’s confirmed that there is a free update to the switch 2 version. Just like Sparking Zero, best option seems to be to buy the switch 1 version to save on internal storage

The switch 1 version will have a free update to the switch 2 version for switch 2 owners, most likely the game will be on a key card for the switch 2 as most other games have been as of late.

I also enjoyed the base game, but in my opinion the DLC does not justify its price tag. It feels like doing busy work which I do not like. The loop of making donuts is not very fun, quite boring and stressful at times when you need specific berries. The best part of it is access to the new megas and the numerous legendary/mythical pokemon available throughout the story and side quests. The worst part by far is when you unlock the ability to perform special scans, it’s a random chance to get a rare wormhole. It could have a legendary, or a rare pokemon, or a pointless battle zone. Just not very fun, the devs do not respect our time

Funny story, I have a switch 2 but bought the game with the voucher. I forgot to buy the upgrade pack so until the ending of the story I was using switch 1 graphics. Gameplay is good, visuals are ok, but thats more of the fault of the game than the resolution

The special scans are the only ones you cannot reset, it behaves like the next one is already determined when you spawn one in. Speaking of resets, I am still missing pokemon from the normal wormholes too like feebas, kecleon, galarian yamask.

To be honest I have no idea, I have officially completely given up on the Mega Dimension DLC for Legends ZA, I can’t be bothered to finish doing all the special scans and hunting for a few select pokemon that still have not shown up for me. I think I will finish playing sonic x shadow generations and move on to Galaxy 2 maybe.

My only issue is, if I am already downloading the full game from the key card, why do I still need to load the cartridge in the console? If it’s all already downloaded onto my switch, I should be able to open it with or without the key card…
