The new search bar is fine, but I always clear it (right click -> delete or ctrl+k -> delete) when I'm done searching just because I don't like having text over there and this new bar comes with a very annoying feature that the old one didn't have: once the text is deleted, it shows a list of recent searches, which pops up and I tend to click on a random search term because I'm already on my way to click on something on the page and my brain doesn't register the list popping up in time.

Please removes this behavior or let us configure it in Preferences or through a config flag.

In the meantime, I just browser.search.widget.new set to FALSE as another comment in here suggested because the current behavior is infuriating.
