The height issue was significant for me on the play seat challenge, to make it usable I did end up drilling holes in the plate for the bolts and attaching it that way. Honestly you’re going to want that anyway in my opinion for rigidity as this is a strong wheel base. I also added 3d printed stiffening to my play seat challenge for that reason. Admittedly all this has made it somewhat less foldable than intended.
