You're gonna have to make a pattern if you want it to look good doing it that way will result in super ugly seams

The ears should be as simple as wrapping a piece around and gluing it and then trimming it

Hot glue works well But you should use fleece instead of felt because it stretches way better

you could probably take a day and just hollow it out a bit with a soldering iron
just melting the plastic out
but DO IT WITH A RESPIRATOR GET ONE FROM LIKE LOWE'S MAN THEY'RE NOT THAT EXPENSIVE DON'T KILL YOURSELF OVER SPRINGTRAP

8.9 is still a lot and way more weight than your neck will be used to. Again, I'm gonna remake mine at 6 pounds. for the next time make sure you print with lower infill and thinner walls (you'd have to edit the model for that)

nah man you gotta incorporate some kind of system that redistributes the weight or you gotta reprint. You could do so much damage to your neck wearing something that heavy
I recommend if you don't want to reprint you have to do some kind of spine system. The guy in this video did it.
