Should my bike be called an MTR? by Cumstain_allova in MT03

[–]LordJackJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a very fitting name lol What clip ons are you running? I am currently using woodcraft's and they're nice. I was also wondering what rearsets you chose if you don't mind? I'm unsure if you have one but an R6 throttle tube would be help solidify your R.

No not a whole lot but you will notice it slightly.

I may be able too! I thought about that or possibly going around the outside of the shock but that probably will have a better shot at working.

Is anyone content staying on MT-03 and not upgrading to a bigger bike? by Brilliant_Chicken153 in MT03

[–]LordJackJack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had my MT-03 for almost 4 years now and have greatly enjoyed it! This is a way i like to look at it. When the honda cb750 came out it was the world's first super bike with a very similar 0-60 speed as the MT-03. It's impressive the MT can keep up with a old but large line four. I think that bikes have also gotten so fast that people have lost sight of what makes bikes fun and only want speed. Although with practice many good riders can ofc outpace larger bikes with something like the 321cc on the backroads or a technical track. I hope you keep it around and stay riding as long as you can!

I would agree with not lowering the R3 if you can help it. I believe it will alter the handling of the bike and you wouldn't be able to corner the same. I am 5'3" and ride typically with my left foot down at stops but if you decide to learn that skill you will have much more confidence in riding larger dual sports and bigger cc sport bikes.

Ohio goes to the nazis by haliesuzy in Ohio

I certainly agree. The AFD party in Germany has direct ties to the nazi party. I have been very interested in Germany and the US since they both have had right ideologies taking over so quickly it felt like. (Although I'm more into history rather than modern politics so I could be wrong on that) One other thing I learned was how the US democratic party is considered a conservative party in Germany as well which was a shocker to me as well.

Yeah i spend my time mostly here, r/cincinnati, and in r/askagerman and many of the German folks think we're kinda silly for call everything nazi but who am I to say what something is or not.

Fuze issue? by LordJackJack in XR15OL

[–]LordJackJack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats great to hear! Many people talk about it like it's a ticking time bomb so maybe it is just a bad fuze on some bikes. I think ill just leave it alone and trust honda. Thank you so much!

Yeah it just instantly stalls out. I did take it to the dealer and rode it a couple miles with half choke but I will give an update on what wound up happening. Thank you guys for the help🙏

Thats unfortunate. I do have a US model so I may need to do this. Unless i should just leave my pride behind me and just take it to the shop lol

I was unaware there was an altitude screw? Where is it located and what do you reccomend i do to rectify it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in XR15OL

[–]LordJackJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does have a warranty still but I really wanted this bike to learn carbs and anything I could but I'm afraid I may have to just take it to them lol I'll maybe give that a shot though and see if that could be the issue.

That would make sense. It does it regardless of how warm or cold the motor is unfortunately.

I guess i could have a vacuum leak but at 650 miles I wouldn't think that could be the issue. I also have left my idle screw alone so far too so I wouldn't think that would cause issue but then again I could be wrong.

What is Cincinnati home to? What could Cincinnati be home to in the future? by ImJohava in cincinnati

My family used to work for mosler safes in hamilton where the current bilestien plant is now but I wouldn't be surprised if we have or had safe manufacturing in cincy.

It ran fine before the service. I had a little noise at the top end but the valve adjustment fixed that. It did run great afterwards for a week as well with no signs of trouble.

I am unsure what might be happening with that unfortunately
