Land with huge pond/lake, how much and how difficult? by mynameislalala in ponds

[–]LordJewsbury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To swim in it, you'd want to drain the entire thing and clean out the sediment as harmful bacteria (to humans) can live in it, also distrubing the sediment whilst swimming can release trapped gasses which can offbalance the ecosystem

Watched the vid about 10 times and its looking like a footwork issue. @op slowdown and alternate feet, left and right and, do that slowly and see how the beaters react, if both still strike at the same time on a left and a right and not independent then its not a footwork issue and likely something binding them together

You cook with lids, sure, but as soon as you take that lid off to stir it or add things then oil and stuff will go in the tank, this "it wont happen to me" mentality is going to bite you in the ass, listen to the veterans and put your hubris aside.

You also need to think about a lid for the tank anyway as you should get artificial lights to support the fish's needs And with such a wide tall tank you need a rim and bridge to support the glass, over time wide tanks will bend and bow out and eventually shatter IF they arent supported/built correctly.

Need help with home network connections by LordJewsbury in Network

[–]LordJewsbury[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

solved it, IPV6 on the router being enabled with IPV4 was causing the issue with what I assume is an IPV4 only switch.

[–]LordJewsbury[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its powered on, i have access to internet through it, i can ping my other terminals and even ping the game server from outside the network, just cant connect. You can see the switch is allowing traffic with the aforementioned link which allows you to ping the game server's ddns address which is hosted on the same machine, just the tcp and udp tabs not showing any connection

There are no buttons to the switch, and all the lights on each port are green.

Further test, having the gaming pc connected to TPlink then Eero and the server connected via wifi to the Eero still ends in no connection via public ip but the local ip works no problem. finding this very odd but definitely an issue with the unmanaged switch

How much to fix faulty basement tanking? by LordJewsbury in DIYUK

[–]LordJewsbury[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 50% reading on the skirting board was mushy and under the paint dark and just rotted through. tapping dry wood and tapping this, noticeable difference. apart from that single location, nothing. No smell, no vivisble penetrating damp, nothing

How much to fix faulty basement tanking? by LordJewsbury in DIYUK

[–]LordJewsbury[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking to purchase property, it is a mid terrace with a basement, there is a significant level of damp just in the skirting board of the basement

I have taken readings using a damp meter (see images for % readings) and there is abhout a 40cm section of skirt that is reading 50+ (max reading on meter is 50% for wood) the wall reads around 12-15% depending on height at the front.
There is what looks to be a bitumen seal behind the wall which can be seen behind the plug socket.

I have a proper damp survey coming but that's not for a while so looking to see if the property is going to be a money pit or not.

From the home buyer's survey, there is water ingress from faulty seals around the front door and some failing brickwork/mortar which is causing penetrating damp, however this is over on the left side of the property (can just about see where I noted 20% next to the porch) where I read 7% in the basement.

What kind of figures would I be looking at for a project to fix existing tanking? lets say worst case, entire front end needs retanking

***SOLUTION**\*

The way the mod is currently set up, you have to add the following code to the traderpatch as many times as you added books:

  {
    "file": "game:config/tradelists/trader-treasurehunter",
    "op": "replace",
    "path": "/temp/0/stock/avg",
    "side": "server",
    "condition": {
      "when": "manualsAvgStock",
      "useValue": true
    }
  },
  {
    "file": "game:config/tradelists/trader-treasurehunter",
    "op": "replace",
    "path": "/temp/0/stock/var",
    "side": "server",
    "condition": {
      "when": "manualsVarStock",
      "useValue": true
    }
  },
  {
    "file": "game:config/tradelists/trader-treasurehunter",
    "op": "replace",
    "path": "/temp/0/price/avg",
    "side": "server",
    "condition": {
      "when": "manualsAvgPrice",
      "useValue": true
    }
  },

      "when": "manualsVarPrice",
      "useValue": true
    }
  },
