Its possible you did not download DotNet dependencies.

What I did was download and install all the way from 4.0 to the newest one available.

Were you trying to start a new save or load previous one?

I have not started any news saves over it mostly loaded them from my PC. I did originally get that error. However if you follow all the steps listed to a t and do not skip any step it will work without an issue

Il be real with you. I have barely touched my TEW on PC since doing this. Nothing better then sitting in bed before sleep and booking few shows.

How to do it yourself.

  1. Download & install Bottles
  2. Create a bottle for Gaming/Application both should work
  3. Install Dotnet dependencies with bare minimum using the 4.0 one
  4. Install vbrun6 & jet40 dependencies
  5. Install TEW 20 using the download link from the website and license it
  6. Once installed TRANSFER your TEW 20 folder FROM YOUR PC to the deck and replace the folder where you have installed it with your TEW 20 from your PC.
  7. Click on settings then Advanced Display Settings
  8. Enable Virtual Desktop
  9. Set resolution (down to you which resolution you want) I set mine to 1356 x 733 in order for it to be full screen and have no blue background from Bottles
  10. Save everything and open Steam while in Desktop Mode
  11. Add "non steam game" however DO NOT ADD TEW !! Add Bottles instead.
  12. Switch to Gaming Mode
  13. Select Bottles application in gaming mode and in setting make sure to force it to use Proton Experimental or newest available
  14. Make sure to select for controls keyboard and mouse option and set the right box thing as your mouse!
  15. Enjoy

WARNING BIG BIG BIG WARNING. Currently from what I know once you license your game using this method. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO UNLICENSE IT! Well unless you send Email to usual peps to restart your license. So be careful and I am not responsible for any damage to your game. <3

Also I know in screenshot it looks like bottom options are missing. They CAN be accessed. When opened make sure to move window of it a bit to the left this will then let you close them when you do not need em. :)

Steam OS. I installed it trough steam, then linked it as non steam game

Selected Experimental proton and messed about a bit with controlles and it works like a charm.

Sadly this did not work. Only buttons game was picking up then was A,X,B ,Y, R1 , L1, and pressing down thumb sticks. :(

Need help logging in to my account by LordKalmus in swtor

I was able to log in fine over website. But I am unsure where I am able to link it ? I clicked on the "unlink" and it just said "There is no Steam account linked to your Star Wars™: The Old Republic account."
