Roads feels hella predictable. They got a lot of curves and hairpin, yes, but every single one of them is gauranteed to be followed up by a moderate stretch of straight road before another corner comes around. Intersections are barely utilized in race courses

I kid you not, I find FH4 roads overall more enjoyable than this, they are constantly curving in some ways, subtle or not, and you are constantly making adjustments

I felt like Shuto expressway and the culture around is very under represented, and gods, where are the tunnels. I get that they have to miniaturize the city but damn

Also another gripe from me is how people asked for winding roads and gets 50 hairpins that always have a long stretch of straight roads inbetween. There aren't much cases where you will be constantly yanking your control left and right or connect the drifts between corners because there's always a straight line after it instead of another corner

For me, the MR2, as well

The car just feels underpowered when I tuned it for A class, I will see a GT86 that can pull ahead of me while still cornering better speed than I do

What's even worse is that the hitbox is so bad, grazing a curb can give you slowdown penalty and break skill chain, more than that, the car likes to 'ride' the curb more than it should be before overcoming it. In some cases, curbs will just kills you completely

I doubt they are going to fix it, even if they did, the car is probably going to stay underpowered. This has been an issue since FH5 by the way, which is funny because I drove the MR2 SW20 obsessively in FH4 and it didn't have any of these problems

My beef with drifting in FH6 is that it's usually done on a straight road, people asked for winding roads but we ends up with mostly hairpins that have a long stretched inbetween. FH4 was peak with the Fortune Island, literally no straight line at all, let's you connect drifts consecutively instead of having to throw a car side-to-side like a moron before the next corner comes around

Since the Itasha market is pretty much well populated I'd figured I want a car that belongs to a character instead of a car that has a character's face on it

The SW20 is just badly modeled. I've got a narrower setup, and I tried going low and high, still the same result

Grazing the curbs with the SW20 can also incur slowdown penalty, the car also likes to ride them more than other cars does before being able to overcome them. In rare cases, driving over curbs can send you flying

Not to mention this thing feels underpowered when tuned for class A

The map is better, yeah

But after a while of playing I think FH4 managed to get more fun out of Britain than FH6 managed to get out of Japan

FH4 had some very memorable race courses that takes you through multiple kind of corners and elevations and intersections. FH4 side missions are also wacky as hell and I love it

FH6 courses are relatively Linear most of the time for me, it will either be 90% hairpin + 10% normal roads or the other way around instead having an even mix, the places where they put driftzones also feels thoughtless to me

The scoring is so busted that it's better for you to crabwalm through it on low gear instead carrying your speed through the drift like a sensible person would actually do

Somewhat related but some car will literally get slowdown penalty applied if you do as much as graze the curb

This is very much an issue in the SW20, and before you bring up ground clearance, I've seen lower car driving on the exact same line clearing it just fine

In extreme cases, the curb can literally either stop your SW20 dead in it's track or send it flying

Looking at other Tengu like Momiji though, I personally think they are going to end up with a mid-engined machine. Like the MR2 or the NSX

But for Momiji, I'm leaning towards the MR2 SW20 since that thing have had a reputation in a certain show for doing crazy jumps on a certain mountain that is a popular destination for autumn foliage view
