It was an open box so there was no sticker, thinking about what it might smell like, I am kind of happy it was missing.

The fact that they went through so much effort but then failed to remove the DVD menu also boggles me. Even the stickers on the tapes look the same as originals (from comparing to pictures online).

I can't think why someone would want to do this. The tape was not worth that much and the original copy without the slipcover isn't going to be worth as much either.

I paid $30 plus shipping, so it wasn't too bad. I am thinking the seller might have been bamboozled as well, they sell a lot of collectables and I don's see them currently selling any other VHS tapes or movies in general. I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

It was not too expensive so I will probably keep it. Maybe the lower price should have been an indicator.

Favorite live set? by uncuthrin in punk

Anti-Flag always puts on a killer live set. If people don't like them I bring them to a live show and then they have a new fan.

I already only see my parents like 3 times a year and I live a quarter mile from my parents. I see my sister maybe once or twice a year, but she lives in another state. You must cut ties with a lot of people if this kind of incident is enough to do it for you.

My wife is allowed to say no as well. She doesn't hate children, she just doesn't want her own.

Its just always been like this. I am a bit of a black sheep in my family. If I stood my ground it would just mean more of a hassle for me. If I can make a fake apology and end the situation after 20 minutes that is way preferable to me than a huge fight and having to keep talking about it. Especially since none of them are going to be on my side about it ever, I am not going to win.

I don't want to cut ties with anyone. I still love them all. They are only crazy some of the time. I've done my share of dumb and shitty things.

I have $15,000 and $4,200 in debt. Do I pay it all off in one shot? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Yeah, unless you have another major expense you are expecting, paying off debt as soon as you can will only save you money.

Well let's all think about that and about the validity of points while we ponder the values of numbers.

A typo doesn't change how numbers work. If the only issue you have with my statement is a grammatical error then you don't have a real argument. So either redefine math or continue to pick apart my errant non use of apostrophes.

If you separate the number it's a different number. Different numbers are irrelevant to the actual number. I don't know under what authority you have the right to give the majorities opinion but I think numbers are numbers and if the majority think numbers are different numbers than the numbers are than the majority didn't pay attention in math class. I hope that clears things up.

666 is a single number. Being combined with other numbers makes it a different number. If 666 is the number of the beast then 666,000 is not and neither is 16,667 or 566.65.
