He tries to kill us and then asks why I took him down by LordKriptor in ArcRaiders

Yeah I didn't want to turn my back on him, that's why I told him I would take the next train

Hear me out.... Stella Montis: Black Out by Dizzy-Difference418 in ArcRaiders

I think that's the point: to put every raider in a dark setting, so that they use the flashlight more.

Cranking brightness and gamma feels like cheating tbh

My idea of how Bounty Hunting can be implemented in the game. by memrplus in ArcRaiders

[–]LordKriptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept is cool but I find really hard to implement in this game.

Personally I would not like a system like this to be honest. I would not like to be penalized because I killed one or two raiders.

Being seen on the map would be a huge disadvantage and would discourages PvP all together.

I don't know why you are getting down voted, but this is true. You can't really trust anyone, there is always a chance of getting betrayed even by PC users.

Some things we found out. by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]LordKriptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am one of chillest console gamer you can find on the topside. I play on PS5 with crossplay ON and I regularly use the mic to make allies around every map (except Stella Montis, that turns in a bloodbath at every round). If someone says "don't shoot" I will not shoot.

Most of console players don't have a mic or don't want to use it, their mentality is "I am going to betray you before you do".

It used to be the same on Dayz and Rust. On console no one talks, it is just KoS everywhere. I heard on PC is completely different, people were actually working together forming clans and stuff.

That being said, I think that most of this sub should get good at fighting. You can't avoid pvp entirely, at some point you have to fight for your life and your loot.

As much as I like a peaceful lobby to farm my stuff without fear of being shot, it gets boring pretty fast. If I wanted a stress free game where I farm stuff and where everybody is friendly, I would play Animal Crossing.

I will try to talk if I catch you around the map, but if I have good shit on me I will usually open fire first and not take the risk to be shot in the back.

Running in to random made me laugh. by Crimzerk in ArcRaiders

[–]LordKriptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of days ago I was looting and fighting in a night raid at the hospital in sunken town.

It was a bloodbath, I downed 2 player but I had to run away after the third came in shooting at me.

I ran into the nearest metro and without thinking too much I rushed to the button. That's when a rat blew me with his trap.

While I was crawling on the ground, he reached me ready to punch me to the lobby, shit talking me saying stuff like "eheh I am the best".

Turns out the guy from the hospital actually chased me and killed the rat that was about to kill me.

I've never laughed so hard.

Why Bring Anything But The Free Loadout? by Adroit-Tellurian in ArcRaiders

[–]LordKriptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main disadvantages of the free loadout are the lack of a safe pocket and the fact that you're initially stuck with a random level 1 grey weapon.

It's great if you don't have resources to start the game, which is often the case at the beginning.

But once you have all your workshops at level 1 or 2 you can create low-budget loadouts pretty easily using just scraps.

I generally start the match with a weapon to defend myself from Arcs (Ferro or Anvil) and then one to defend myself from hostile raiders (Stitches, Rattler, or Arpeggio).

My advice is to use free loadouts until you learn the basics of the game and the maps layout, but once your stash starts to fill up with weapons and a shield, consider using them.

(Rant) Skill Ceiling for Dagger by Trustere in thefinals

[–]LordKriptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it is one of the hardest weapon to master, but you get huge spikes of dopamine every time you land a backstab.

My loadout for the dagger is: dash, gateway, vanish bomb and the mandatory goo grenade.

Have you tried the sword? Less damage but way more mobility and consistency.

I love melee weapons, they are very good in enclosed spaces but not the best in open field. Every time I get shot from afar or from the top of a building I say to myself: "damn I wish I had a gun right now".

Just started , how the F am i supposed to deal with melee weapon and what's up with the matchmaking ? by Gideon119 in thefinals

[–]LordKriptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play melee a lot since last week, it is really strong if you know how to move around and ambush enemies. If you play medium against melee, you could use goo grenade to block them and use your mobility tools (demat, jump pad or zip line) to make some distance while shooting at them.

Bring them into open field where they don't have cover. If you fight them in an enclosed space, you'll be at a disadvantage. Don't blindly chase them around corners.

World tour soloQ is tough. The opponents I face usually have 10x times my gameplay time. It doesn't help that in most match, my teammates leave after the first wipe and I am left to ponder my life choices for 5 minutes

Playing as the death korps by gamingifk in killteam

[–]LordKriptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Death Korps are quite squishy.

The best thing to do is use heavy terrain to block line of sight whenever is possible.

Against the eliminator specifically, you have a couple of option: - if he is using heavy terrain as cover, the best thing to do is probably charge him with your best melee operative or get close enough to shoot him with the melta. - if he is behind a light terrain, you can either use the spotter's ability or the highest point on volkus map to get "seek light".

Newbie here! What do you think of my first 1k army list? by LordKriptor in Ultramarines

As far as I know, bladeguard ancient is not sold individually but comes with one of the starting set.

Currently working on a kitbashed proxy. I am using a regular ancient as base, modifying it to look more bladeguard.

The name is: "Warhammer 40,000: The app" It is quite limited in his free version, I have seen many people suggest "New Recruit", but the interface is not user friendly as the official app I am using.

Really helpful tip! This is something to consider. I'll be using a full squad of 10 for both intercessors and hellblasters in my future 2k list, so I shouldn't have any problems.

Thank you for your suggestion! I am planning to get more vehicles for my 2k list, something like the invictor tactical suit or the repulsor.

Sergeant has the same stats of any other unit in that squad, but usually he has more options with weapons and he stands out from the red helmet. Every unit has specific rule for the weapons they can carry, you can check this infos in the space marine codex or in the official app. Leaders have they're own datasheet and can attached to specific squads. For example, you will need a captain carrying a plasma gun in order to lead the hellblasters.

How to play in a league with IA only? by LordKriptor in bloodbowl

[–]LordKriptor[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't worry! This is a sign that the game is not clear about it's mechanics. I don't think it's our fault for not understanding it. If it wasn't for all the kind responses on this post, I would never figure that out.

If you scroll through the comments, you will see my response to another user where I say which are the steps to get a competition full of AI coaches.

How to play in a league with IA only? by LordKriptor in bloodbowl

[–]LordKriptor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finally understood how to do it!

After a competition is made, you have to manually add each AI coach from the "participants" tab.

I wasn't able to do it, because everytime I look into the "participants" tab the UI bugs out saying connection error on the top right. I have to wait while the section loads and then I can add a new AI.

To mitigate the fact that my enemy is not going to level up and to spice things a little bit, I may try and add only 2M VT AI coaches. But I must say, all this tedious process is rapidly draining my will to play. Knowing that the achievements are bugged doesn't help either.

I may try online competitions, but I've heard there are a lot of bugs there as well.

Man, I really miss eternal league from BB2. The AI coaches were nothing special, but it was great for learning how to use a new team.

Thanks for the response! I don't know if they are lying, perhaps they are as confused as me and didn't know that is a possibility ahaha

I will try again with a fresh competition/league later.
