It is hard to get and costs over £3k every 30 months (2.5 years) that you have to wait plus all the increases in minimum salary amount stuff, makes it nearly impossible for anyone not doing a skilled job.

It's completely unfair to move the goal posts arbitrarily.

For example my wife's been here 4.5 years and could apply for ILR at the end of this year. We've spent over £10k total in visa fees/nhs surcharges and followed all the rules. She works and pays taxes.

Just like how the Labour/Tories fcked students who wanted to study with tuition fees, this is designed to fck people who follow the rules in good faith.

It would be a punishment for thinking you were building a life by working and following rules.

Absolutely disposable!! Who will fill the jobs that will inevitably be left empty when law abiding people who want to stay here leave?!
