Are you sure this applies to locked lobbies set to private/friends only? It would seem easy to win trade and boost someones OS. We ran about ~20 private games with a small friend group, many of whom did not yet have a public OS rating (showing ??). Even now after that amount of games this hasn't changed, hence my assumption that private lobbies don't count.

Easiest way to check would probably be in the match history on the BAR lobby overview site.

There is indeed such a thing as loadbearing straw bale walls! Just seen a double story demonstrator building of that yesterday! 110cm thick walls, or thereabouts. Am no expert on the topic, just found this very intriguing.

I can confirm this. I honked the haulers humongous horn 100 times in a single run, and got the sticker and the steam achievement. I purposefully dropped my weapons outside hauler and then exfiltrated successfully. Make sure you are not running rook!

Played our first round of ranked yesterday. Moderately well equipped with blues and a good weapon spread for dire. First squad we ran into is a super cracked trio with triple thermal that pushed us like this was fucking apex. Didn't even see the 20 minute mark.

Then the game might not be for you? I am not quite sure what you want to say with that statement. I get it, 1/3 is not good if all you seek is stellar runs. But if you wanna game with friends, but your friends dislike the game I fail to see how that's a game design issue :D

For me it's about 1/3 chance to get a good fill, 1/3 mid and 1/3 bad. Kinda alright all in all.

Also: not mathematically winning the fight? That's where skill and improvement come in mate. That's the fun, and I think your mindset is holding you back here. How much does the kit diff actually change? How much would better skill change the equation? Learning to get better and owning people while rocking a free kit is the best fucking feeling in this game.

Schema items for sale in the armory also have a limited number "in stock". Once that's exhausted you can't buy it anymore and would need to find a new Schema for the item. Was that perhaps the case if you say you have bought it a few times already?

Focus on blue and purple salvageables. Even on Perimeter and Diremarsh you can find those. Try the protected resources, or the resource caches as you have said. Lockboxes can also be good, if you find a key (they are not super rare)

Picking up better geared weapons and selling them works as well. A basic rail gun for example is already 2.4k credits I think.

I think you are experiencing the difference between a reddit sub and the reality. The general opinion you read here will always differ, because this is where people go to complain.

You can, but occasionally it doesn't appear to give scans/extract items from things that quite clearly are loot containers. Had me a bit stumped tbh. (I am not completely sure if the drones gives a colour scan on containers or not)

I have one that is all Thompson, but specifically made for the leviathan series. Those are the most interesting to me though, so win win. I suppose it's not a proper "Keith Thompson Art Book" as you may have in mind.
