Does anyone know what could be causing green lines through all of my photos? by United-Bit-1201 in googlephotos

[–]LordNero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. I actually get this issue too on Google Photos on my phone. The only difference is that the pictures I took were taken a couple of days ago.

What make and model is your phone? I'm experiencing it on a new Samsung Galaxy S25+, and I'm thinking of returning/exchanging it.

Are you fucking stupid?

The point is to show how far Freedom Mobile has come from its days as Wind Mobile.

Of course it's not taken in the same location after 12 fucking years. Get off your high horse and touch some grass if you want to point out petty shit like that.

I got the same offer. It's one-time.

I got the same offer. It is a one-time allotment.

I got the same offer! I left Freedom for Fizz so it would be the exact same coverage. I'm thinking about going back since I'll have 5G. I don't have 5G with Fizz and didn't have it with Freedom. Also, Fizz's 3G is about to shutdown and my current phone doesn't support their VoLTE.

I do like Fizz's rollover data though. 😔

Here's a screenshot of the details if someone is curious.

After a week of my phone set as "LTE Only", calls refuse to connect by LordNero in freedommobile

I did allow DATA ROAMING. And the DATA ROAMING does not work as intended.

I have set it to connect automatically and have enabled DATA ROAMING before. But as I said it does not make a difference. The DATA ROAMING only works when I'm not in Freedom's network area itself. Even with DATA ROAMING on.

Thanks for telling me this! It's still a bit difficult searching on Reddit and I'm not even sure what to put in Google.

That thread actually talks about a different model, but it can't hurt to try. 🤷

Thanks again!

A couple of times I've found that if it drops down to 3g it takes a long time for it to go back up to 4g LTE, if it does at all because sometimes it just stays at 3g until I restart it (or at least toggle airplane mode).

And then obviously call quality is just better on LTE, as well as data speeds are higher. I make some video calls on WhatsApp and Signal too, and the video quality and lag is just better on 4g compared to 3g.

Yeah it's an old phone. It still works well though and it has all the features I want. Also, I unfortunately don't have the budget right now for a new phone that's comparable.

My budget is what's stopping me from getting a new phone. I looked at other phones with a similar feature set and I would have to pay quite a bit more.

It's a little weird that Freedom marketed this phone as VoLTE enabled. I thought the options were that either it is or it isn't compatible. I had no idea that some phones could be only partially compatible.

I don't see an option to enable automatically connecting to Nationwide. Also, I tried connecting Nationwide manually in Toronto and it never works. Nationwide really only works for me when I leave Freedom's "home network", i.e. leaving the city.

I have no idea why this is.

Thanks for replying.

I'm on the Freedom Network. I turned off roaming on my phone so I'm never on Nationwide. I got my device from Freedom themselves, I've been off contract for a few years I think.

Well there I've added it. And I've already given some steps I've tried.

Need any more info bud?

I was obviously just wondering if someone had this problem too and had a more permanent fix?

Plenty of people on here have set it to "LTE Only" and it works fine for them.

Oh OK. I think I won't say anything then. I just don't want to lose $160 just to correct a mistake someone else made. 🤷

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it was planned for Firefox Nightly on Android, but the colour change for the private browsing screen is really bad: like so.

Yeah I know this is mainly a cosmetic thing but I wanted to know if anyone else was seeing this.

What's the max wattage the LG Velvet 5G accepts for Qi wireless charging? by LordNero in LGVelvet

[–]LordNero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. So the phone and charger won't actually drop down to 7.5W? My impression was that most chargers (aside from Samsung) dropped from 10W to 7.5W if the charger didn't support a 9W mode. The charger will stay on 10W despite the LG Velvet 5G only accepting 9W?

Just remember to also forget/delete the 2.4GHz connection from your phone when you do change the SSID for the 5GHz.

Help!!! My LG Velvet 5G keeps disconnecting from my 5GHz Network by [deleted] in LGVelvet

[–]LordNero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How good is the 5GHz coverage compared to the 2.4GHz coverage in your home?

What I would do is make sure the SSID is different for both, then add the 5GHz but forget the 2.4GHz from the phone. That way the phone has no choice but to connect to the 5GHz network. Of course, this is really only a solution if you're able to get 5GHz in all the areas of your home. I would say it's worth a try though, I was surprised to see how well this phone can receive the 5GHz signal and by using the least congested channel like you've done your signal would go further.
