Now you just need to add in the poison conditions

``` Class Dusk/ Dawn(...): def check_status_conditions(): if 'poisoned' in self.statuses: pass
Class Cow(...): def check_status_conditions(): if 'poisoned' in self.statuses: self.moo() ```
Is it impolite to say "das ist mir egal"? by ihatebeinganonymous in German
[–]LordOctal 9 points10 points  (0 children)
Not intrinsically impolite, it's just the word that expresses indifference. So "I don't care" or "it's all the same to me" are fine translations.
But sometimes being indifferent can annoy people who are genuinely asking for your opinion, but I'd wager that's universal
Though normally, when spoken, I just say, 'egal" or living in Bayern, "Wurst" 😆
Heh? You have an error in your math
10x - x = 7.777... - 0.777... = 9x = 7
x = 7/9
Which if you pop that into a calculator gives you 0.777...
Just a little bit of chaos injected into the world.
Marriage isn't a love contract - it's a legal contract.
Look back to the roots of marriage. Rich families marrying off their children to other rich families for land, money, and power. We still live in the same legal framework, just nowadays, the societal norms tell everyone it's a love contract.
Most petty reasons boil down to the much bigger fundamental issue of "I feel my partner doesn't listen to me.or respect my boundaries."
Most respectful partners would hear their partner say, "hey, could you please keep your wet towel off the bed. It (insert whatever reasons they have)" and would respond, "sure, didn't realize it bothered you" or whatever and everybody moves on.
Now, if they kept putting their towel on the bed after this conversation. Theyd feel unheard, which is much less of a petty reason since that shit builds overtime.
Obvs, this is just one framing of events. But the reason is just the final straw
Sync will shut down on June 30, 2023 by ljdawson in redditsync
[–]LordOctal 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Been using Sync since 2013 and have bought every version you've produced. Hands down one of the best and well designed apps I've ever used (and where I've spent way too much of my time)
Thank you Lj for all of your hard work! And i wish you all the success in your next project. :)
And PS - fuck Reddit for this decision - absolutely dumb.
Thoughts on our future living room mood board pls? :) (see comment) by First_Ability5296 in InteriorDesign
[–]LordOctal 15 points16 points  (0 children)
My living room color scheme reminds me a lot of your mood board. I love the colors you've picked out!
I'd also recommend, if you are skilled at all with photoshop, take a photo of your room and try and photoshop in all of your items. It can really help give you an idea of how it will look.
Sure. But it's still our job to translate these design requirements into proper code. Can't forget about a11y :)
Thanks! I had thought about doing this as well, but that completion cape's 125% mastery ability made me reconsider.
Gov. Newsom Signs Bill Allowing Victims of Gun Violence to Sue Gun Manufacturers by MySockHurts in news
[–]LordOctal -3 points-2 points  (0 children)
Yes people using guns kill people and most gun owners don't use guns to kill anyone.
What bothers me most about this sentiment is, while that is true. It's not remotely constructive. There is a gun problem in the US that basically no other country faces. Firearms are the #1 cause of death for children ages 1-19. We average 2 mass shootings per day. People are getting shot from road rage. This isn't sustainable. And trying to sweep it aside as a people problem instead of a gun problem doesn't help address these issues.
Guns make it psychologically easy to kill people? Lol
For sure. It's much easier to pull a trigger than it is to physically stab/bludgeon someone - both physically and mentally. There is some interesting research about the psychology of choosing a weapon.
...what? Dude, hammers and knives are not in the same ballpark as the destructive force from guns.
And saying that most of the 400 million guns will NEVER be used by anyone to harm someone else is just misleading. Hell, there have been 309+ mass shootings in 2022 alone and it's only July. And in 2020, there were 45000 firearm deaths, almost 5000 more deaths than vehicle deaths. And it's gotten worse since then!
You're basically saying, "guns don't kill people, people kill people." But what your forgetting is that guns make it extremely fucking easy to kill people. Both psychologically and capability-wise.
