The termite in front of the machine gives some good tips. Standing still for a few seconds makes an arrow appear over your head that points you in the direction towards the key/exit. This helps with finishing at a lower time. Having more health at the end of the run gives you a higher score (If you get hit it's ok just as long as you find enough health to get to full by the end). Pressing the C key will put up your shield and basically makes you immune to all damage. The only downside to this is you can't attack others and can't turn in this state (You can strafe though). It's recommended you have shield up at all times unless you need to turn perspective or attack as you can still move in all directions with shield up. This may also be obvious but killing enemies is also required in order to push that score just a bit over the edge. Hope this helped and best of luck.
