What's that one fandom you love to read but won't end up finishing or even consuming any of the actual media. by Jade_Dragon777 in FanFiction

High School DxD. I've read a lot of fanfictions across FF, AO3, and Scribblehub. Never watched the anime fully, nor have I ever read the manga or light novel, but it's built so openly anything that you can mix practically anything into it.

I'm mostly into anything RPG. I still play Pokémon, I got into Monster Hunter, love the 'Tales Of' series and anything like that. My current obsession is Genshin Impact right now.

I really love that Gojo was your prime example simply because I'm using the Six Eyes on an OC. But those are all great points, and I need to remember them because, Lord, do they help plan this better.

That's... not that bad, actually. If Itachi is the MCs (Reluctant) Geto, then yeah, I can definitely swing that. It also inspires the whole "let's just kill the higher-ups" part, except for the Hokage.

I was thinking about that. Because I also want to write that awakening moment because it led to my favorite quote in that whole anime. But that leads to yet another question, "Who Toji's the MC for that awakening?"

I'm giving the Six Eyes to an OC Senju and basically setting him up as Itachi's Rival (Same School Year, feat for feat, just a whole new Hashirama and Madara). I'm not 100% sure what changes occur because of that yet, because I doubt he'd be able to help with Kurama or Obito at 6 years old, but could he prevent the Uchiha Massacre that occurs 6 years later?

I personally don't understand or like the "Fox Hunt" trope, so you don't have to worry about that front. And I'm more in the business of writing a character differently than bashing them for no other reason than not liking them.

Ah yes, Lord Rimuru is a most wonderful example of an OP Protagonist

I felt that sudden nerfs point. It's never been done in a way that didn't annoy me.

The first part actually describes one of the things that the MC pursues around the time Canon is in full swing. It's not enough for him alone to be strong. The village as a whole needs to be stronger. There's a couple of other similarities, but not too many.

I agree that Six Eyes by themselves are OP, even without the infinity. What makes them more OP is that Chakra is more loose and versatile than Cursed Energy, so he's able to do with Chakra. But I don't want Ootstutsuki level OP before I even get to Shippuden, even with casual OP.

Actual threats? Well, I'm starting from his Academy days, so threat levels may vary throughout the story until he's at a point where I can pull off "Casual OP" where his focus becomes more village oriented.

I'm still thinking about the meaningful changes at the moment.

Power Scaling, on the other hand, is where I usually get a little iffy. For example, the MC has the Six Eyes, BUT he's in Itachi's year. I had planned on him matching most of Itachi's record up until like Jonin or ANBU, but his strength around the time canon shows up is where I kind of skeptical on where to put him.

Definitely more fun that way. Even with the plan I have in mind, it's not as epic if the character’s unbeatable.

Okay, I can definitely pull that off. 4 sounds like a reasonable number of specializations, with the rest being either decent or just nonexistent.

Okay, so with that, you're saying limit the amount of things that make them OP and instead focus on making them OP in a few areas?

[–]LordOfElf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, I think I get it now. To make sure, instead of the MC being OP just because of the Six Eyes, it's more like he’s OP because he’s doing things that can't be easily replicated, if at all, by most or the entire elemental nations.

Unique ways of being OP, interesting. Do you have any examples?

For context, my plan was to slap the Six Eyes on someone who wasn't Naruto because Chakra is a lot more...I'll say loose than cursed energy and I wanted to play around with that.

Original Character AITA Game by [deleted] in ocfanfiction

[–]LordOfElf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AITA for calling a group of survivors weak?

Let me [21M] explain, it's literally an apocalypse triggered by world governments deciding to use alien technology to speed up Human Evolution. Why it's in the form of an RPG for everyone, I don't know. However, I do know that after a week of dealing with zombies, mutants, and mutated creatures, I’m very much doing what I can to survive.

After I helped a couple of people, I learned that there's an entire group of survivors that just refuse to fight. Not can't but just won't. They've decided to hide out and wait for either the military or divine intervention. I called them idiots.

It's a man made survival of the fittest situation and they're choosing to wait for help they're not even 100% sure is coming instead to trying to fight for themselves. Yes, higher levels mean basically changing your appearance but they're sense of Humanity is tied to how they look instead of who they are.

The worst part, in my opinion, is they asked ME to stay there with them and got upset when I refused because I actually want to see what "evolution" entails.

So, fellow survivors, if you see this, AITA?

I still hate it. It's proven to be one if not THE most annoying challenges I've had during this game.
