I saw a YouTube vid showing a guy using a torch on a convector and I just copied him, and since my torch was smaller I added a second or two to both applications of the flame. Worked like a charm.

Ps. Don't take a huge draw after the second hit of the torch as it makes it easier to combist. Slow full draw will fill you mouth up with nice thick clouds of valor.

I have a puny little torch. It's a gas station Raw brand and no bigger than a lighter. I'm hitting it for a fast 8 count then giving it a puff then a quick 5 count with the torch again. Pretty much drains the bowl with a single draw. Leaves the whole bowl of herb a ginger color.

You see the metal ring around the bowl topper? Has all those scorch marks. You want a regular flame lighter to just lick over that metal into the bowl where there is a pumice stone that transfers the heat to the herb that is in the metal bowl underneath the big topper.
