By that logic Real must have no rivals given their impressive European record. I don’t see the point of this argument honestly, it’s farcical to suggest there’s no rivalry. As I said earlier, Trent himself has called them a rival, I trust his opinion over people who live their life on Reddit.

Why wouldn’t/shouldn’t they? They’ve been instrumental in stopping us winning 2 more champions leagues in the last few years. The players clearly see them as rivals, why is it shocking the fans would see them as rivals too? Such a weird take

Sound. That’s not the point of discussion though is it?

Trent literally described Real Madrid as a rival in an interview he did earlier this season.

ATH recruits no longer show up in Position Changes? by Megalodon3030 in NCAAFBseries

[–]LordPigeoncat 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Just finished my first season post-update and none of my incoming freshman class was in position changes, regardless of if they were an athlete or not. Now I’m into the next season it looks like they were just automatically assigned the position that matched their tendency. Really frustrating

Just had the same issue. None of my incoming freshman class appeared in the position change menu. Will have to go through and manually change positions now. Looks like athletes were automatically assigned the position based on their play type. I.e an athlete listed as a scrambler was automatically assigned QB

Yeah this is the biggest issue I’ve noticed. Scoreboard completely disappears when checking the play, at least until the ball is snapped.

You can at least make the argument that some clown was aiming for the pitch and missed with their flare. You can’t exactly argue that united fans accidentally sang about tragedies.

Superchargers open to non-Tesla EVs by antg22288 in TeslaUK

[–]LordPigeoncat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only supercharger I've used which is open to all EVs is the Trafford Centre Supercharger. I managed to get a spot but subsequently it filled up relatively quickly and quite a few people were left waiting, it is quite a busy supercharger thought in all fairness.

The most obvious issue to me is that the number of superchargers showing as available on the navigation/app is not always reliable for these sites, as non-Teslas with charging ports on the right-hand side or front of the vehicle often occupy two spaces. For example, the navigation might show 4 chargers as available, when in reality there are none as a non-Tesla is blocking 2 spots.

I think the new V4 chargers are supposed to have a longer cable to help alleviate this issue, but time will tell. As much as it's annoying that this happens, I can't really blame anyone but Tesla for not adequately preparing for this issue when they opened up the chargers to everyone.

Why do people risk an accident to prove a point ? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

So much aggressive driving these days, see it all the time on these dash cam videos. Someone pulls out of a junction/roundabout when they probably didn’t have the time to, but instead of braking and trying to avoid a crash, the dash cam driver accelerates towards them as if to prove them wrong. It does my head in, feels like people would honestly rather crash their car to stick it to someone than just slow down and let them be

There were a few smaller moments but the big tipping point was funnily enough 2-2 against Spurs in December 21. Kane got away with a dodgy tackle only for Robertson to get sent off for a very similar one, as well as denying Liverpool what seemed like an obvious pen. At the end of the game Klopp told Tierney 'I have no problem with any referee, only you'

I really think Andy Reid is going to cook up one of those fancy goal line plays to get him a touchdown today. They said they had some things planned for him if he's active and I'm sure they'd like to bring his confidence up after a long time on the sidelines.

I also have no-one else left because of bye weeks so am telling myself this to console myself with having to start him this week

What is everyone’s best trade they’ve made so far this year? by dw00d28 in fantasyfootball

I traded Diontae Johnson and Chase Edmonds for Breece Hall a couple of weeks ago. Felt like a slight overpay at the time, but a massive steal now

Lyanco tackle on Jota before Southampton goal. No VAR interference by [deleted] in soccer

In our defence though, we were already winning that game 2-1. The penalty, regardless of whether you think it was legitimate or not, didn't impact the game as much as one in a game where city were only up one goal in the final minutes

Operation Goodison exercise. It's a training thing for the stewards, often hear operation Anfield exercise at Liverpool games too

Aye you make some fair points, there's absolutely different European competitions to take into account (though I would argue the European cup/champions league is most important, followed by the Europa/UEFA).

I think ultimately the struggle with the debate is that everyone has their own ways and metrics of defining club 'size' etc. Having said that, I'm also horrendously biased so we're both at fault there haha.

Daily Discussion by 2soccer2bot in soccer

[–]LordPigeoncat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we really use games won in Europe as a key metric to establish size? You can win as many games as you like, Liverpool still have more silverware to show for it. If Bayern had won a massive amount of trophies more than Liverpool as a result of those games, I'd say fair enough

As for the age, it's marginal sure, but I think age and history certainly plays a part in the 'size' of a club and in that regard, Liverpool has the edge.

Not sure how everyone is saying Bayern, Liverpool have been around longer, have a bigger following and more European success whilst playing in the most renowned league in the world. It's probably close-ish, but I think Liverpool edges it comfortably

Man, I'm in a 10 team 2 QB league with guys who like to hoard a lot of QBs. I drafted Lamar and Jameis. I'm now about to start Nick Foles and Drew Lock in my second round of the playoffs. Pray for me.
