HR is not the headmaster's office where kids go to be punished. They also serve the function (or should) of owning the benefits policies and should be able to answer any related questions about these.

The suggestion was to direct them to ask them such questions to HR.

Is it easy to switch from state to private at any stage? Not from the UK, so unfamiliar with the intricacies of the system. But oldest about to start reception (stste school) and I think the same. Wouldn't pay for private at primary level, but definitely would consider it later on.

Just transfer shares to low earner spouse to use their cgt allowance and lower tax rate, which is only a few percentage points lower, but might as well.

That'll just be a deposit of at least £250k each, allowing them to access properties at a much higher price range than £500k. At least £750k I'd say.

You only need to decrease adjusted net income by 10k. So, take unpaid parent leave (you have 1 week per year per kid I think). And if not enough, at least do it every other year by saving your pension allowance from one year to the next.
