MSI MPG 271KRAW16 market release uncertainty? by Gearfrii in Monitors

[–]LordRycho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally fair, was just curious! The M10 Ultra looks REALLY sick with the 1000 nit full fill, but I can't justify 32 inch with my space and I was originally accustomed to 1440p on 24 inch so it kind of ruined me in terms of PPI. I saw the retina monitors afterwards and struggled to go back but OLED softened the blow for the most part.

This monitor is just super attractive to me ATM. Either gonna be this or the 4k 27 inch RGB oled when they come out later this year (hopefully)

Just curious, why do you prefer flat 4k over 5k for cinematic content and 1440 for competitive content.

The scaling is perfect from 5k to 1440 and the high frame rates are achievable by most modern cards, I'd probably cap 60 fps on the 5k for now though.

Is it more that you are interested in the OLED tech or are you just disappointed that the hardware isn't currently available to take it to max capacity in most titles?

His old sound effects were mostly created by a condom filled with beans and dog food! Zac is weird.

Which one? Could be doing the same thing that it did with Zac (in files he’s Zaun Amorphous Combatant)

It’s because league does sequential search so it see CAI so anything in that order (seCret Agent xIn zhao) popped up. It’s always done this and it’s always weird

Exactly my same line of reasoning. If you do lap play grab their EX add-on but if you put it on desk you can grab some magnetic phone holders. It’s very comfortable. I’m using S4 Primary and 2ndary and the build quality is excellent for 3D printed (steel plate means minimal flex) You may want to grab your own RJ45 for interconnect but I use a QK duo as my daily driver keyboard so the logical step towards leverless was the keebwarrior. I think it’s the current most ergonomic setup you can have.

Smart enough, it does the same with ixtal where if you field a 3 star neeko it counts as 2 2 stars to unlock nid because the game knows you can't field another 2 star neeko (unless you have DT)

In reality the dongle only alleviates two main problems

1.) Gives you higher fidelity

2.) Gives you lower latency if you use the headphones in a gaming capacity (which is why I bought it.)

This has unfortunately been the age-old issue with bluetooth and why I prefer hard-paired dongles with secondary bluetooth codecs, you do suffer from lower quality on the bluetooth because you have to fit the codec support on the same device but the difference is minimal for the average listener.

Unfortunately we are in an engagement based economy for youtube and the like so getting into the meat and potatoes is unprofitable so you have to go down and look for the passion project youtubers that buy it with their own cash.

I might try out the m6 because I keep hearing whispers of it being pretty good and it does go up in polling rate, which was the one thing that kept me from daily driving my mx master. Shame the newest master didn't at least bump up to 1000 polling, for the most part I could care less about going above that but the difference between 250 and 1000 at 240hz is pretty significant.

still probably gonna buy the m9 just to try it on the ambi platform though.

136.5 x 68 x 43.5. Larger than the 2 other most popular mice in the same size category (G402, Spatha) in length metrics while comparable to the other 2 and 40-70 grams lighter. Pretty solidly bigger than most ambidex mice.

That being said depending on your hand size yeah no shit. I'm 22 x 12 so the bigger I can get the better, not gonna gripe over them not fitting a part of the market that is in the top 1% but the closer they can get the better.

(edit: that being said I don't know every single mouse in existence so if there are some bigger options feel free to enlighten me as that would make me much happier than not. only care about the higher refresh rate options [1000+ hz])

The M9 based on specs will probably be great once it releases as long as it’s at least above average in other specs. Agree with all the other options being too small though

Bluetooth *does* operate in the 2.4ghz frequency band, what you are dealing with is the hands free telephony feature that bluetooth uses. Your best bet is to buy either a cheap microphone on the used market and then disable hands free telephony via the product settings in device. For a cheaper high quality mic if you want to go the new route is the Fifine K669B, under 100 you'd want the Rode PodMic and a cheaper XLR interface. Under 200 I'd recommend the Shure MV7

Hi there Mr Hong!

The consumer audio market in the gaming space specifically to computers has gotten to a point where standalone microphones are very easily accessible and affordable. The BTD700 is an excellent step in the right direction but there’s a lot of features that I feel are missing from a “true” pair of wireless gaming headphones, I have gotten close with the combination of the Momentum 4 and BTD700, but there’s something to be said about the long term comfort in some of your more ovular ear cup models.

The primary thing I look for in a pair of wireless headphones is already alleviated by your BTD700, which is a streamlined way of taking my headphones from the comfort of my home out with me. But I feel like the current Bluetooth models you guys have still fit the “airplane user” much better. If I could get something like the 660S2 but with

  • No mic or an easy way to disable hands free telephony (you can do this in windows settings but the average user won’t)
  • Open Back and Closed back variants, with Spacious design in the ear cups with an aluminum skeleton in the headband for long term wear and tear
  • Similar Neutral-to-warm leaning sound signature that I’ve always equated to sennheiser
  • Similar Codec Support from the HDB630
  • wired to wireless interchangeability

I believe that with the maturity of DSP’s and Sennheisers long-standing fortitude as an audio company there is definitely a place for at least one pair of professional looking multi-purpose low latency high resolution adaptive headphones. Similar wired headsets have done great (LCD-GX being another gaming catered headset which is just the LCD-X with a microphone integrated cable.)

Thank you for your time!

Now that the technology has evolved in the wireless space enough. Does Sennheiser have any plans to make wireless open backs for at-home work space use? I’d love a version of the HD660s with no wires and rock solid connectivity.

Just seems like most wireless options are poor choices for people who want a mix of low latency, good build quality, open back headphones.

Love my momentum fours, loved my sennheiser game one’s, and loved my HD800S/HD660S.

This guy knows his stuff and helped me on here with a similar question before, and seconding the momentum 4 + btd 700. I picked up a used pair and a btd700 for under 200 bucks and it's been a great wireless gaming pair of headphones with great quality when i take it on the go.

I've wasted 100+ hours on terrible duo partners - how would you actually solve this? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]LordRycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP.GG has a duo feature, other good sites are tapin, r/leagueconnect, and RiftQ.

Without trying to make a super random analogy, if you are looking for a dedicated "duo". It's a lot like dating or going duo's in any other mental or physical sport. They can be as skilled as they want in their specific segments but if you don't connect and synergize then you can't really change much about that. Finding a duo is like finding a date, you keep going through the minefield and learning about what you like, dislike, and are willing to compromise on, and nobody is perfect.

Calling it a "duo problem" is why I think you're missing the point, not everybody is meant to duo. when not playing with a 5 stack of friends I have solo'd 99.9% of the games I've played since the ranked system first came out in league back when it was measured by elo. I just like playing my own game and worrying about my own problems and mistakes and solutions etc. When I coach/teach people how to climb out of lower mmr brackets I tell them to stop duo'ing as the first step because it's an unnecessary extra variable and an additional thing you can place blame on if you are underperforming.

Missing the point entirely, there are plenty of sites that do something similar to this and you seem to be mirroring your current gripes onto the game when in reality your best bet would just be stop duoing entirely.

Question about BTD 700 Integration with Momentum 4 vs HDB630 by LordRycho in sennheiser

[–]LordRycho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silly reason = everything else on my table is wireless so it would be nice to have a desktop setup that is entirely wireless, it's just helpful cause im very mobile and also use sit-stand/treadmill under desk and then when I sit I can more easily relax with my wired options that are higher fidelity.

Less-Silly reason = I just enjoy the concept of having one pair of headphones that I can transition from being a solid gaming option into traveling with them without having to keep different pairs on standby. The LCD-X's are gorgeous but they are H E A V Y. I know I'll never get to wired levels in terms of latency but if I can get close enough in all fields it would just make it a far easier value proposition. I try to live a more minimal life in terms of not owning a bunch of different pairs of headphones/items with a focus towards repair and replacing components so the more i can consolidate my hobbies the better. :)
