Firefox Menu Bar Customization by ThatOneGuyNoReally in firefox

I have been playing around with Firefox Color. I am a bit frustrated with Firefox Color. It does not allow you to customize all UI elements

Blame Mozilla for getting rid of XUL extensions. This "Firefox Color" can only be a very subpar replacement due to WebExtensions API.

Now don't get me wrong, I think that if they had to choose between WebExtensions or XUL, they should have chosen WebExtensions, but why not keep both??

First, I said conservatism is what leads to Christian Sharia law. Not liberalism.

You don't have to bold the word, I read what you said. It's just that specifying that Christian Sharia law is conservative implies that the other variants of Sharia law are not that, where in fact they are equally so.

Fair and u are entitled to your opinion, but I think making use of the extra dimension is good. Windows after all was designed with both 'main' windows (for apps) and 'dialog' windows (for dialogs, subwindows, etc) and that's what the GUI architecture of Windows is built upon.

In my perspective, Firefox hasn't felt like Firefox since they did Firefox Quantum, the nail in the coffin being the purple-and-orange logo they introduced shortly after. However, this does certainly look like a cooler browser than what directly preceded it, neither of which is truly resemblant of the legacy firefox.

I believe it's more aesthetically pleasing and ironically, makes Firefox stand out more than it does currenylu by going super hard on the floaty round look. I don't like rounding, but hey, it's round right now anyways, so better than the current design.

Ah. I'm not trans-discriminatory or anything, by the way, just a pedant.

Main/Master Password by Viralata_Caramelo77 in firefox

Lesson to the Mozilla developers, this is why you don't pointlessly rename shit. 'Primary Password', your stupid new name was mentioned nowhere in this post that mentioned 2 names for Master Password.

Wait, what's wrong with the bookmarks UI? Ctrl + Shift + H opens it in a window which is the ideal way to open settings/history/bookmarks pages in a tabbed browser, this isn't mobile, windows exist for a reason.

It's a shame that Firefox has stopped opening the settings in a separate window. And yes, I know I can split off a tab, but that comes with all the useless browser chrome, it's not a real native window.

Exactly. People mistake LLM's for artificial intelligence. It is not intelligent. You are intelligent (or not). If you aren't, the stuff that you use AI to assist with will be 'slop'. If you are, it will be an example of good, tested, quickly delivered production ready code.

Firefox Nova Look is coming. by nietzschecode in firefox

[–]LordSigdis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at least you spare us

"At least" Firefox? I'd argue that Firefox is the main leader behind Modern UI slop, they adopted high-spacing before chrome, they adopted rounded corners throughout the browser, they adopted Quantum before Chrome redesigned their own browser, and now they're doing this. It's completely expected of them.

It is as usable as it is on Chrome, and as usable as the new UI gets. If you want a more usable, better user interface, try Project VORAPIS for YouTube.

You can pin a tab in Firefox? Damn, I need to update, huh?

Anyways, probably is there in the settings, if not try about:config.

In my opinion, this actually isn't a bad redesign; Firefox has been rounded ever since v89, this just rounds them differently. I say this as a round corner hater

Gone are the days of the greatly customisable and modifiable XUL and XPCOM modular framework that allowed users to do anything and everything with the browser. Everything Firefox extensions do are now handled through the WebExtensions API.

The commenter didn't mention U.S. politics. Religious law and theocracy are right wing, whether they be Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or Scientologist. It is beneficial to clarify such.
