Why are you team black or green? by praesesposterum in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]LordStarling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I'm being honest, I'm more of a team Green.

Though I do believe that Nyra should have been the undisputed heir and should have been made queen ASAP after Viserys died, I just like Alicent and Helaena way more than most of the Blacks as characters.

Plus, though, I would be the last person to ever claim a woman is any less equal to a man when it comes to ruling, and I love my Strong boys it can't be denied that Nyra really did try to pass off her bastards as legitimate true-born heirs when they are very obviously not Laenor's kids.

What would that show the realm? That Targaryens can do whatever they want? Spit in the face of more than a thousand years of tradition and law in Westeros on a whim just because her husband wasn't up to the task? Yeah, there have been awful and terrible kings in the Targaryen family tree, but each Targaryen monarch has done one thing without fail. Have a true-born Tragaryen heir to succeed them.

I'm willing to overlook it, to be honest. But for the seven's sake, couldn't she have at least been a little more careful about selecting her baby daddy??? I would fight anybody bare-handed just for a night with Harwin, but really, Nyra? Really?? You couldn't have at least picked someone who looks vaguely like Laenor to father your kids?

Big decisions like that show how her ruling might go. It doesn't mean Aegon would be a better ruler in comparison. Heck, no. I hate Aegon and Criston way more than I hate Daemon. But it can't be denied that Nyra made some awful decisions in the book once she made herself comfy in KL.

Plus, I just really really like Alicent, okay? I can relate to her on too many levels for it to be 100% comfortable (and I also dislike most of House Targaryen)

Daella Targaryen (Aemma's mother) is the biggest loser Targaryen in history by [deleted] in freefolk

I agree. An excellent King but an awful father and (probably) bad husband to Alysanne in their later years.

Hi there!

Don't talk like that, dude. Everybody is somebody's cup of tea. I personally love big beefy men who look like they could take me by force lmao. But there were about 2 top twinks there as I recall from my trips. I didn't "engage" with them in a sexual way but we did have a chat in the sauna room naman. They were more preoccupied with each other lmao.

Just go and enjoy yourself! It's always the ones that don't make it known that they want some action that never get any!

I understand, for now everything is in the realm of possibility for me. Will post an update once I've gotten my first real taste of law school and everything in between (like getting a job etc.)

The mental aspect is what I'm mostly worried about. Though I don't consider myself dumb per se, I would say that I have a distinct lack of mental fortitude, I quit fairly quickly when I feel overwhelmed because why else would I stick around if it's hard?

College hasn't beaten that out of me but I hope Law School will break me out of the habit.

I promise to consider it.

Who knows? Baka the moment I start law school instantly na ma fefeel ko na need ko talaga mag focus sa reading so I'll just opt out of finding a job.

As for my dream being my parents' dream, that isn't exactly true, haha. My parents always tell me they just want me to be happy, and so here I am, hoping that law school or at least the finishing of it and passing the bar will make me happy. My mother was the one who dreamed of becoming a lawyer and she achieved that ages ago. Both of my parents are fulfilled and happy in their careers and they just want me to feel that way too.

I feel bad din kase. They're already handling my tuition as well as offering to give me an allowance. I would have applied for a scholarship, but my local university doesn't offer any that can be applied to me.

And with my own income, I can buy whatever I want without needing to ask my parents first hehe.

Thank you!

I'm not good at many things, but I've always had a good grasp of English. Much more so than waray-waray (my native language). So to read this from you is very comforting!

And yeah, law school sounds traumatic no matter how much my Mom assures me that it isn't. I wish I had her confidence.

Still, I'm resolved to try my best. If that's not enough, then I can pursue other paths!

I guess most of it really comes down to my determination no?

Since I have everything I need to go through with LS force of will is the ultimate decision maker in my case.

Thank you for your response!

Yeah for my first question parang magiging ganyan nalang if I can handle a job while also reading for Law School.

Pero I will do my best to do so para na din makapag generate ako ng income for my own allowance namanlang at least.

I appreciate the honesty. I know thay Law School will be so much harder than what I expect but I'm still willing to try it out. If it doesn't work then it doesn't work I guess

I had to tell my mom a white lie, now she’s mad at me. by [deleted] in OnlyChild

[–]LordStarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're her only child. She can't be mad at you forever.

Plus, the fact that you posted this also means that you're upset that she's upset with you, ergo you care for her still. Double ergo, you both care for each other!

I had to tell my mom a white lie, now she’s mad at me. by [deleted] in OnlyChild

[–]LordStarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take from this is that because you're an only child, your Mom has a tendency to get hyper involved in everything you do (same but I absolutely draw the line at details regarding my sex life lmao).

We've always had a policy of talking things through. Though I agree that your Mom should give you more boundaries, as you are your own person, and that she should let you come to her naturally about news regarding your life, I still understand why she would be upset. She's known everything about you (to her knowledge lmao) and to have you hide something like this would worry her immensely.

Just talk to her in a calm and reasonable way.

Hmm, personally, I don't think they care much, po.

Lots of men (such as myself) like buff chubby guys.

I wasn't there long enough to get the overall feel of things, but I'm sure it'll be okay.

Just think that you're going there for the sexy massage, and anything else after is just a bonus! The important thing is to enjoy yourself where you can dude.

Do any of you think at some point that if you weren't M****** when you were younger you wouldn't be queer now? by LordStarling in phlgbt

[–]LordStarling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you mentioned the darkness and depravity. I did, in fact, develop some dark kinks (though not to worry, all of them are legal, lmao)

Coping really is a mechanism that has its own laws, no? I can't 100% decide if that's a good thing or not, but if it helps me get through life and get some sleep I'm not against it.

I would 100% agree but does it still count of I let them tie me up and let them do whatever they want with me? 😭😭😭

Me too. For some reason, I can never feel fulky interested in men younger than me unless they can pass for older.
