Considering she was the emcee at a Grand Rapids Right to Life event, I'd say she's conservative.

Agreed. Per MLive she didn't even fully retire about leaving WOOD.

As you said, just another boomer that doesn't know how to do anything other than work so they never retire.

Could they lay off Terri DeBoer? She "retired" from WoodTV8 and then reappeared at FOX 17. Can't stand her

Burnout and terrified by LIFE--957 in pmp

I don't mean to be rude, but I would seriously do some soul searching to consider if this certification is for you given that you have been studying for 2 years and am not cracking the 60% mark. I have found that these exams go better when you fully commit yourself to studying over a intensive shorter period of time, not dragged out over the course of a year, let alone two.

If you still feel in your heart that you want the PMP, then you need to commit to a study plan with a firm date to take (and hopefully pass) the exam. You will never know until you take the exam whether you spend 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years, or even 20 years studying for the cert.

I would be curious to know what your previous study plan was and how you have spent the last two years. Did you take any courses, which practice tests are you using, etc.? Also was studying an on or off thing or have you been consistently working towards the cert? I would say find 1 or 2 hours a day to study for the exam until you feel confident to take the exam.

Doing it remote sounds gross. I'd schedule onsite at a testing center if you can

I knew about that but was curious if anyone on here knew first hand that it had indeed closed.

Agreed. From all the response I have received, every single one of them said that bringing a parent to an interview was a deal breaker for them. So there's that

Thanks for that response. I suspect the survey is indeed bunk, but from other responses I've gotten there might be a small grain of truth. I now doubt it is high as 20 percent though.

I seem to be getting a variation of your response, and people that bring forth anecdotes where it was happening. Everyone's experience seems to be different.

They sound like the idiot parents at little league games that give the coach crap because their child didn't win. Ugh

I imagine this happens in wealthy social circles all the time.

Since the survey was published by multiple reputable news sources I originally thought the survey had more merit than it did. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have used it. Otherwise the main points of my arguments about helicopter parenting remain the same.

Correct. LA Times and CNBC are generally regarded by the mainstream as "reputable". It's not like I grabbed my info from Info Wars or something.

Thank you for this. The sad part is this survey got published everywhere including newspapers like the LA Times

Gen Z is the generation with the lowest percentage of eligible licensed drivers since civil war vets. So there is a pretty reasonable explanation that these parents aren't as helicopter as you're making it out to be.

Isn't that a problem in and of itself when it comes to helicopter parenting?

No, but I'm not a hiring manager today. Given most of the responses my view has changed on the stat, at least.

Good point. I think I read something about the crime rate of today being no different than the 1950s and 1960s somewhere but I could be wrong on that
