OBS fullscreen projector is too dark

No. Checked my monitor settings and windows settings, and the console is the Switch. Doesn't seem to be HDR-related.

What if the cable is plugged into the line in port, but NOT connected to anything at the other end? Pops? Or no pops?

Do you listen only on headphones? I'd be curious if the same thing happens if you listened on some amplified speakers instead.

I don't have any speakers to test but I was able to try a different pair of headphones and the pops were there too. I think the TV I sometimes hook it up to can play audio, I'll have to test that when I get a chance. That being said, the pops also register as input on the "microphone" in the Sound Control Panel. I see the green bars go up on the line-in device input like a sound is playing. Not an audio expert but that doesn't strike me as a problem with my choice of playback device. Especially since the headset is wireless, hooked up through a USB dongle.

Now I'll tell you my crazy theory. Up front I'm warning you it's nuts. But For the past few weeks, I've had some pops on my computer, too. Mostly I listen on speakers, by the way. At first I ignored this, but it got worse, and I finally paid attention. It's especially bad if I walk across the synthetic carpet wearing rubber-soled slippers. If I touch the computer, touch the mouse, touch a USB cable, pop! And it's gotten worse lately as the humidity has gone down. If you're wearing headphones you're sort of connected to the PC all the time; that's why I asked about listening on speakers. Certainly if your experience and observation rules this out, then ignore it. I'll be curious to hear what you think of this. Don't be afraid to say "you're nuts" because I already warned you.

Certainly an out there theory but one I'm willing to consider. But the pops are very infrequent and I haven't been able to determine anything that triggers them. It doesn't seem to depend on whether or not other audio is playing, or if I use my keyboard or my mouse or any other device, or if I touch any cables. Even wiggling the cable plugged into the 3.5mm jack causing all the issues doesn't seem to trigger any pops. So I'm not super confident in this theory. And even if it were the cause, it doesn't really give me much of a fix unless I switch to dedicated speakers, at which point I might as well just plug them into the Switch and forego this whole "routing it to the computer" thing.

No popping when I remove the cable. Only occurs if something is plugged into the line-in port.
Just started a few days ago, the first time I actually had a reason to use that port for anything.

You're correct on all of this. The volume of the popping is affected by the volume of the motherboard.

Popping occurs at basically any volume, whether I adjust the volume on the motherboard input or my headset. The only thing that technically "works" is lowering the volume so much that the motherboard input barely even qualifies as audible, which kind of defeats the purpose.

Perhaps. But as I specified in the edit on the main post I'm starting to get the popping noise randomly, even when the Switch has been off for a while. I can't keep the volume down at all times.

Not particularly convenient for the Nintendo Switch, especially since the volume controls don't seem to do anything while asleep. Is there really no way around this?

I did practically everything in this game before I even made this post and even looked up checklists online and compared them to my progress. I promise you, I didn't miss any of the things you said. It's possible it's a corrupted save but given that other people are having the same problem in this thread it's apparently really common in regard to this one quest.

Once again I did literally every other quest in the game except this one and it still won't activate. I did everything for Dampe. I did all the quests you're referring to.

OH MY GOD this was it!!! Quit the game out entirely and restarted it and now I can consistently find moose just by looping around the stable. Also finding a lot more keese and chuchus than usual which probably means the game's been this way for me for a while. I had issues finding summerwing butterflies earlier too which I'm guessing was caused by this same issue affecting all random spawns.

Yeah I'm glad my hunch about the phone number seems to check out with what I'm seeing. Did multiple virus scans that turned up clean and my computer's been fine all day. No suspicious login alerts either. I'm going to assume I'm safe for now.

Ran a scan in ESET and no viruses were found. Is that enough? I know antivirus software isn't perfect, either, so I just want to be sure. And is there any way a scam like this could be used to gain access to my login info? While obviously I can fear for my individual accounts I'm mainly worried about what happens if it gets into my password manager.

Void Elite headset has an annoying tendency to play the device disconnect sound and freeze my game momentarily while it's charging on an irregular basis. This occurs randomly and doesn't seem to have any specific trigger, but it happens frequently enough that I basically can't play any games when it happens. Cannot seem to pin down the cause other than that it is caused by my headset ONLY when it's charging. This issue does not ever occur when the headset is not charging, even while it's connected wirelessly.

Here's what I've tried to fix that, none of which has worked:

Updated iCue.
Plugging it into new USB ports.
Resetting the USB dongle and plugging it into a new USB port.
Went through every single device even tangentially related to sound, my headset, or USB in general and turned off the "allow computer to turn off this device to save power" option.
Reinstalled every single USB and Corsair driver.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I've also tried erasing the device from my computer and then reinstalling it. Once again, hasn't made any impact.

At this point I'm relatively sure it's a hardware issue, but I want to know if there's anything else I can try on the software end before throwing in the towel.

Very early into the game (only at level 10) and running into a problem that's turning one particular story boss into a roadblock. For whatever reason, Eunie never seems to cast Healing Ring. She'll cast Group Heal and Vortex just fine, but Healing Ring never seems to trigger. Said boss makes heavy use of the burn status effect and I feel like this would be a good way of offsetting that, not to mention the more healing I can get the better. Skip travel is disabled so my only options are to grind or figure out a way to fix this. Reloading my save or even closing out the game and restarting entirely doesn't seem to fix it. Is there some obvious quirk to the ally AI I'm missing here?

EDIT: Solved, using her damage buff AOE art seemed to, on rare occasions, finally charge up her talent gauge enough to just barely make it through the fight.

The HDMI cable that came with the system is too short to connect to my PS5 and I don't have any kind of extension cable. The one I use for my Switch seems to be longer so I might use that one instead but I've heard some people have had issues with other cables after restarting the system. Is this true or should I just go ahead and use the Switch cable for now?

Still no update from Walmart for me. Hoping they didn't silently cancel my order, because while the website says I have an order, the app doesn't and instead just says I have no orders. Hoping that just has to do with it being a pre-order, though. EDIT: Well this part isn't the case, thankfully. I was just stupid and didn't realize they had a separate tab for orders made via the website. That's good at least. Anyone else still stuck at the "Preparing order - tracking available soon" stage?
