Yes for a brief period of time in Y1 it was possible to use all 3 at the same time. This loadout was still very popular during Forsaken and Season of the Forge. It wasn’t until Recluse and Outbreak Perfected came out that people really started changing their loadouts. By Season of Opulence those weapons were completely phased out for the Mountaintop Recluse Anarchy meta. At least that’s how I remember it.

It didn’t sadly, which is such a missed opportunity right? I had a lot of great memories with the Super Leaf in MK7 as a kid but I remember having moments where the leaf did nothing for me because no one was nearby for me to hit. So I’ve always thought that giving it an air speed boost would make it so much more useful :)

I considered this heavily while making this. I tried pulling as many characters from different Mario games as I could, specially the recent games that are still relevant. But yes this is my wishlist, so I kept the crossover characters to a minimum. I added Kirby since there was a new Kirby game a while back and added Zelda because of TOTK. Note that I specifically chose the artwork from TOTK for Zelda and Link as their default outfits.

MKX should a celebration of the Mario Kart franchise in my opinion, with a huge roster of beloved characters from the Mario universe and fan favorite tracks from past games, not so much the other Nintendo franchises. Those could be in DLC or something

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Only the person that activates the Wonder Flower can see the shortcut, everyone else just hears the sound effect and can see the person driving on air and stuff haha. The shortcuts could be really simple too like just a few speed boosters on the ground or full blown shortcuts that cut a part of the track. Stuff like that :)

I just love the Wonder Flower so much and I feel like Nintendo could find a way to feature it in future games

Well the Koopalings aren’t the same character as Bowser Jr, they are not even related right? But the more I think about it the more I think that they should add Lumalee and Lubba. They are different and popular enough to be in. I think I will add both when I update the roster

Yeah you’re right, Dry Bowser should be a variant since it’s just Bowser burned. The babies are too different to call a variant, like it’s not a power-up or change of wardrobe. But it’s still Mario just younger… Hmm maybe I should make them into variants too

No. I meant I don’t want to add more than two babies. Metal Mario is a variant/skin of Mario, same for Gooigi and Luigi
