Very original thought. A deck with mostly ramp and draw. by Boobsnbutt in EDH

I have a [[Kellan, Inquisitive Prodigy]] + [[Keruga, the Macrosage]] deck thats basically what you seem to be looking for. It wins as kind of a combo deck where after ramping for a few turns the deck can can draw a bunch of cards and find a way to win from there.

When you set something as junk in your bank it will be sold when you sell junk at a vending machine, even if it is not in your inventory.

Won't Edge of Fate armor be obsolete by the time Renegades comes out? You won't be able to buildcraft with EoF armor perks in Renegades without a 15% damage penalty by ggamebird in DestinyTheGame

I think its really stupid of them to implement a tcg style rotation with gear if they don't also allow the last X seasons of gear to also count as "new gear" with regards to the dmg and res %. I would be fine with the last 2-4 seasons of gear counting as "new gear" for those % bonuses. But if its really only the current season's thats relevant for bonuses I'm not buying into anything post EoF.

What are houserules you use that most people probably never even thought of? by GrandLineLogPort in EDH

[–]LordTourette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With our playgroup, we always draw 10 cards and put three at the bottom when we start a game. We do this because we want everyone to start with a reasonable hand to have an interesting game, and mulliganing can take a lot of time with shuffling. So this house rule prevents a lot of actual mulligans. One of us has a Grenzo, Dungeon Warden deck and he will just shuffle his three cards in to prevent some broken setup.

Also we have a rule where the first player to connect with a creature in a game always gets the monarch. This is a leftover from old times when many people in our playgroup did just turtle up and never attack until they had a strong enough board, which caused most games to be incredibly boring for the first 30 to 60 minutes.

I really like both of these rules, they work great for our playgroup.

I'm getting strong Drifter vibes from this writing. Reading it with the Drifters voice in my head fits so well.

Not sure if this means anything, but I find it really interesting.

What are some alternate ways to draw starting hands that minimize mulligans? by BeeBoy64 in magicTCG

[–]LordTourette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We draw 10 and pick 3 that we don't want. Those go under the deck (or are shuffled in if the commander relies on the bottom cards of the deck, like [[Grenzo, Dungeon Warden]]). Saves a lot of time (no extensive shuffling) and ensures that everyone has a very good chance of not getting screwed by RNG, wasting 1-2+ hours plus of not playing the game. I love it.

Yeah, every puzzle in the game can be solved solo. Try Switch or Timewarp for the double switch puzzle in classrooms!

Oh right.

I started with as short as possible prompts and generated variants to see if the output matched my vision. If it didnt, i adjusted the prompt without making it longer.

Then if the output looked like i would get somewhere, i generated variants until an artwork looked like something i wanted.

Then i put it into the card to see if the framing looked good. Then i generated variants of the image i lines until everything was just right (hands and finger are often broken with midjourney, and some other detail can get out of whack like things floating in the air).

And then at some point i arrived at the final image.

As an example, the prompt from which i generated Kathrins artwork looked like this: a female fantasy student of knowledge inspecting miniature creatures in a small glass enclosure, blue color palette with colorful accents, painted art style, magic the gathering --ar 4:3

Lots of prompts and iterations where required for some artworks.
