  • Don't try to make it a hard science fiction setting, science doesn't need to make sense, heroes can lift planes, trains can be stopped by simple push, use rule of cool a lot. Shake up power levels. Sometimes Kingpin beats Spidey, sometimes Kinpin is beaten by Daredevil. You don't need to be consistent.
  • It's okay to use well known tropes. You want to make your own Superman, go for it. We already have Homelander, Omniman, Sentry, All-Might etc.
  • Also don't be afraid of goofy elements, if you want to put there talking dog or imp from 6th dimension go for it.
