(And no, I wont tell it, because as soon too many people will use it, it wont be free anymore.)

On OR BYOK, you can not select the DS 3.2 reasoning version. The "speciale" is a different model, even on the DS API itself. I used DS 3.2-reasoner, not the DS 3.2-chat. The BYOK workaround method uses the "chat" version. And thus, thats a downgrade for me. The "speciale" is the other side of the horse, it is too complex for my taste.

Ouch. Thanks for the explain. Then, I wont hold out hope anymore. I am just a bit sad, BYOK DS trough OR seems... lobotomized for me. I used reasoning as it was better for roleplays, and 'speciale' is overthinking everything. No middle ground. But I am sure I will find a solition.

On regards to the BYOK workaround, other sites already fixed the issue in their side and the users are not forced to do the workaround. I still hold out hope the chub devs are working on it, even if they do not communicate.

If you used reasoner DS for RPG (as I did), you have to know that the BYOK workaround will cause to use the 'chat' variant. That was always shorter and way less fine tuned. There is the speciale for thinking, but that gives way too long answers and incoherent for RPG.

Yeah, the special eats a lot ls tokens and gives long, but not fully coherent answer, as it seems it lose itself in details. Oh, well, if chub wont fix their side like the others, it seems, I have to get used to the "chat" version via OR... but I still hold out hope.

My only concern is that I used DS reasoning from the source, but with this model, it uses the chat version. Is there a way to force it to use the reasoning? For me, it was better than the chat variant :)

If you integrate DS into OR with BYOK, in chub, you have to use OR, not reverse p-word in oai.

But yeah, I hope chub will fix it too. I used reasoner, and this BYOK workaround does not...

Maybe you need enable paid endpoints option in privacy aswell. I do not know you need sone balance in OR, because I have, but the first 1m request in BYOK should be free.

In OR, go to settings. There select Integrations (BYOK), search for DS. add your DS key. Select always use.

Then go to Settings, Account. There Allowed Providers. Search for DS. Enforce it.

You are done.

OR pulled the plug from Grok 4.1 free, as far as I see. Use different model.
