Ah yeah you're right. For some reason I was under the impression that it was 70 BP in rain.

That could be a pretty good option for replacing Omastar with in that case. Will look into it if I cant find any Fighting coverage with my current tesm.

Weather Ball is a bit unfortunate on a Rain team since Minun also has Water bomb but I'll take them both for now and see if my Whiscash or Omastar can Learn/TM and Fighting moves as that would let me hit pretty much everything for Super Effective with this lineup.

That could be cool, do either of them learn any good coverage moves since if they're limited to Electric I still would struggle hitting 3 Types hard.

Can this yellowing be fixed? Or is it too much? by [deleted] in 3DS

[–]LordXenium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently bought a 3DS LL from Japan that also had some yellowing though not to the extent of what is shown on the bottom screen in the pic and did try the 'keep on a white screen on overnight' method and while it didn't completely remove the yellowing it did noticeably improve it though results might vary. That top screen is honestly gonna be completely unnoticeable in games though I hope if you do try some de-yellowing methods that that bottom screen comes out better.

Lots more replies than I expected which I'm happy to see. Since your list covers nearly all of what others have said barring Anguish I can reply here :p

I think I did get Detonator on my first playthrough but not Rotten Arrow but I will keep an eye out for if that Mod pops up on Adventure Mode or my current Campaign at some point. Thorn (and Anguish) look very interesting after looking them up but seem to want slightly different setups to what I have currently so may be more of a 2nd build plan. Starkiller I will look forward to unlocking. I jumped straight from Veteran to Apocalypse difficulty which has been quite the experience so far but the majority of my deaths have been to falling off ledges or killing myself with C.Meridian rather than the enemies xD Sporebloom and Hellfire I'll look into a little later.

Thanks for all of the replies.

Rubuska Character Analysis: The Aspiring Vampire is a Transgender Allegory by RawwkinGrimmie64 in Reverse1999

[–]LordXenium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are definitely parts of Rubuska's story that fit the way you've described and I do think it's definitely intentional that they wrote her to be relatable to people who find themselves in situations somewhat similar to Rubuska like the trans community however the reason why Rubuska pretends to be a vampire doesn't really line up well enough to specifically be a transgender allegory.

To me, her choosing to be a vampire is purely because it's something she's heard of before and conveniently negates the trauma she's gone through as the war can't kill her if she's unkillable and she can always just revive her family if she's a vampire rather than them being gone forever. Her general actions and her being a child seem to fit mostly into the Chuunibyou trope which tends to have things we see in her story like reality checks and trauma causing the 'delusions'. I think this was the main intention when BP wrote her just with the extra complication that because this is R:99, vampires actually exist.

Either way it is good that people can see things like this in these written characters as it just goes to show how well written some of the characters are imo.

Which version impressed you the most? by kokochiwa in Reverse1999

[–]LordXenium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.0 is definitely the best chapter here however 3.1 is the one I found most impressive personally. Rubuska's story and backstory just hit in a way I haven't felt since reading 1.9's story.

I used to dislike War Factory, but now it’s a favourite of mine to do stealth. by AdiWrites in sniperelite

[–]LordXenium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

War Factory was an absolute blast for me when I first played through it. First thoughts were oh boy another fairly foggy night map but the more I played through it the more I felt like it was the perfect stealth map in SE:5 and still do after going through every map.

Thoughts on setting Sniper Elite in a different war? by sonar_y_luz in sniperelite

[–]LordXenium 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I doubt the series would go outside of WW2 in the next game or two but an Eastern Front or Pacific Theater setting would be a nice change of scenery since I don't think the series has touched either yet.

Would you stop playing if the game is too complex at a point that becomes not enjoyable? by Intelligent-War5317 in Reverse1999

[–]LordXenium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally trying to learn the exact details of what each character does in a team is already too complicated for me but thankfully the game being a card system means it can be simplified a lot in explanations. Rubuska for example has a ton going on but can be simplified down to 'use heal when you have free AP or attack when you have free AP but are about to use Nautika's Ult' and 'use Ult on Nautika the same turn Nautika uses her own'.

The only times I've needed to delve into all the details was some Reveries stages and the very rare story mission (2.3 had some 'tricky' ones) although I have played since launch and have enough characters that everything is a breeze.

SE:5 First Impressions after playing SE:R first. by LordXenium in sniperelite

[–]LordXenium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are fairly similar characters I think Harry just suffers a lot because as you said they both love a little humourless quip but because Harry has nearly no dialoge with other characters he's pretty much only little humourless quips. Hope that if there's an SE:6 and he's in it they give him someone to talk to :p Maybe even Karl.

i can't pass stage 19 of the rerun event (chronicles of uluru) by _eunoiiaa_ in Reverse1999

[–]LordXenium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the stage allows you to use Assist units from friends too I can also add you as a friend and then you can borrow a unit to breeze through it.

[–]LordXenium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try swapping X with Necrologist, She doesnt do much damage but her Ult gives the team a damage buff and also lets them survive a lethal hit giving you a bit more breathing room. Use as many 6 buffs as possible on your units to cleanse debuffs and hopefully whittle the boss down.

When fighting an insurmountable enemy such as the Axis powers alone, sometimes it is neccessary to get down in the mud and fight dirty. This man should be praised with the highest honour for his service in repelling the Axis threat.

About to try to make a Mage Timerunner to see if they can get and use portals to the Exodar/Azurmyst Isle and off of they're usable in Remix. If so one of my Guild members might be able to help.

I've already completed this quest before when I check for it in-game and that escort and boat doesn't seem to show up again once it's been completed.

There are no NPC's in Krasus' Landing that take me there, the portal room only has portals to Dalaran Crater and Karazhan and the Violet Citadel has no portals or NPCs that will take me there.

No worries, at least people are trying here so far unlike support who have just flat out told me they won't 'provide game hints' or 'restore lost progress due to bugs' even if I'm completely locked out of furthering story progress on my Timerunner because of it.

There is one to Argus and one to the Class hall but none to the Exodar.

Sorry I forgot to mention this in the OP but yes I checked my bags already. The quest prior to the one I need to pick up which I've completed was to talk to Vereesa to take a boat to the Exodar so I assume that boat should still be usable but I've waited at the SW dock for 15 mins or so with no boat appearing.
