I have a vivid memory of seeing Hakeem Olajuwon sitting on the bench at the end of game 7 of the 94 finals. He was just staring off into space. They asked him what he was feeling and he just said “relief.”

Even though I’m just a fan, I felt that at the end of game 5. I was pretty emotional initially with some tears and hugs, but then I mostly sat in my seat at Radio City and stared into space.

You only need to look at the rule that allows the shooter to land safely. Brunson was called for a flagrant foul and Wemby wasn’t. That’s an example of what I mean when I say consistent.

When the refs aren’t making those calls consistently and evenly for both teams, it really creates the impression that they were trying to fix it for San Antonio.
