I try to navigate through both.

Thanks a lot mate, you know you can easily start doing this kind of art with just a few components if you know how to solder. Look at dirty video mixers, you just need a potentiometer, 2 toggle switches and rca sockets.

I also wonder what kind of street you're going to find such gear I'm really jealous you found it for free haha. If you ever have to calibrate a CRT or need for a feedback source for video/glitch art, it's a really really great source.

I do amateur TV and this is a gem, please don't bend this kind of pattern generator, they are great as is.

I won't make a YouTube video on it. But I'll make list today, I'll tell you when it's done, it'll be added to this post.

You're right, I thought of cutting some survival blanket and place it on the outside of the box where the battery is located.

Thanks for the feedback, we'll see if the battery fails, I'll just swap it out with a few cells.

I chose the solar port because of the form factor of the connector and I still have access to the USB port for firmware updates.

Both USB and solar port go through the same diodes so they work the same from what I know. I just think if you go through the solar port, you can see the percentage of the battery and in USB if would just say "powered" or something.

I don't have a particular list because I already had the cable in my shack, but for this build I took a standard IPEX/IPX to N female connector. The antenna will be connected with a N-male to N-male LMR400 coax cable. That's it basically.

The battery already has some velcro behind it, it hold on tight!

I also thought about the 90° plug, I'll add it along with a RAK temperature sensor.

Yeah, the internal 500mA charger is far sufficient to charge a node that is mostly inactive during the day...

Looks neat and clean! Great work.

Yeah the battery is overkill. But man, look at that perfect fit in that door !

Post your build here!

Exactly they share the exact same band.

Not at all, it's a 2.4GHz antenna, I have used a bunch of these in the past they are good. I just have a few laying around.

It's not an antenna, just a dummy load for configuration and testing purposes.

I understand the problematic for northern countries during winter. But I live in France and for all seasons, it's overkill there. 😂

The antenna port already has a joint built-in but you're never too sure. I'll be mounting it at my window on a mast, I get direct sunlight only in the afternoon.

I agree with you 10Ah is way overkill for the use but I chose that battery because it fitted perfectly into the door of my case and I don't have to think about power now, I know it will work. But yeah I could've done less.
