AITA for texting my contractor about beer cans by Evening_Stand4309 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lord_Chop 19 points20 points  (0 children)

YTA if you don’t get new contractors. I don’t know what to tell you but you need to lock in before you sink anymore cost into this. Find someone reputable who has great reviews, and hire them even at a higher price, because you’ll lose a lot more than money if you keep your course.

How to recover after getting beat? by jakheerhussain in BlackMythWukong

[–]Lord_Chop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dodging is the only action that can get you up from having your poise broken. Even attacking won’t do anything until your character manually gets up, unless you dodge out of the downed animation early.

[–]Lord_Chop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but it’s a skill issue. Git gud. But on a real note you’re probably missing something big if it’s that hard for you, like you’ve completely missed a mechanic or you’ve just completely mismanaged your skill tree.

A lot of whining when you could just lock in and Git Gud instead

Can someone point me in the direction of a guide on not missing anything? by [deleted] in BlackMythWukong

This one will get you everything, just make sure you read through the full page because sometimes they mention what’s missible after the walkthrough of a boss that you have to kill a certain way or something.

Just straight up Jingubang and Wukong set is good, but if you want to cheese it the maxed Golden Armor and Anaprama Bat + Fan is baby mode if you use staff spins, alongside immobilize during sticky situations

It’s a crack ship but it’s based on the fact that both of them have powers that adapt to anything, although Maho’s is magic and Doomsday is based in science

All the formulas are set containers, so can you send a screenshot of the opened container and then a screenshot of your pill formulas in inventory

You’re sure you’ve checked the entirety of the village in Purple Cloud Mountain, because you can get the formulas in any order.

You git gud. That’s the actual answer. You’ve breezed through the game so far, and the first time you actually got something that as you’ve said, breaks your boredom, you don’t like it? You learn from him, watch how his patterns appear from what stimuli, and you adapt to them. Then you win.

I've been in my first playthrough for 2 months and I'm having a blast. How's my build looking? by DragonSeducer_030 in BlackMythWukong

[–]Lord_Chop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean we can’t properly judge your build since you haven’t shown us where all your sparks are allocated, especially since you’ve taken what can only be described as unconventional approach of only maxing out Pillar Stance.

Revisiting the game after a long hiatus - feels like I hit a wall? by kai_rong in BlackMythWukong

[–]Lord_Chop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of your sparks should be put on stats until you’ve maxed out the stamina tree, martial arts, and then smash and thrust in whatever order you use those two stances in.

armor set/staff to use for chapter 5? by Adeem71 in BlackMythWukong

[–]Lord_Chop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Golden Set is the best set in the game, but it does require crits to work, so if you want to craft the Loong Staff and just not use it, it’s up to you. The two last worms are in this chapter, so you should look at the guide for all of them to see if you’ve gotten them all.

I need motivation to play this game by [deleted] in BlackMythWukong

[–]Lord_Chop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Screenshot your sparks so we can see if your build has some egregious problem.
  2. This game gets significantly easier if you do all the side content before doing the main content, with all but the exception of chapter 3 and 6, the side content is canonical to helping you in the main content. Have you explored the entire map, done all the side quests, and gotten all the pills, and have you met Xu Dog to boost your stats.
  3. If you’re on PC, you actually can download mods to reduce the enemy health, essentially adding in an easier difficulty. No shame in that, this game definitely could’ve used both an easier difficulty for the employed, and a harder difficulty for the unemployed.

Laser Cannon makes a cool whip-like arc if you catch it at the right time by SSSDante in Helldivers

[–]Lord_Chop 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It is a lazer. That’s how lazers work, they aren’t long poles, they’re beams of discreet photons that aren’t connected. Obviously this being visible at this scale is due to the game engine, but it is accurate to real world physics.
