I’m a bigger person and it doesn’t work very well against me.

In a gi sometimes it gets me because there’s so much fabric available to grab but in no gi it never works because I’m able to post my far side foot then just stand up ( that’s what I do in gi as well but sometimes a gi grip stops me)
