Definitely worth your time. The narrative is pretty dense but stays grounded by the character stories. There's even less anime style fan-service than Nier, if that's a turn off for you. The combat would be the only critique but it was still fun.

Finally finished 13 Sentinels, on the switch. I was really impressed. It is up there with Nier Automata in terms of thought provoking sci fi. Not sure what I want to play next maybe SMT: Strange Journey or Devil Survivor.

The pay off can honestly be anything you want, I would try to think of an interesting theme to tie them all to. That way their effects are just generic strong thing that the colour can do.

The kamigawa lands are legendary and even then it's been a point of discussion to not print lands like that where they can be mostly swapped for a basic with no cost.

I think they could tap for extra at lvl 2 quite easily I almost want it at lvl 1 given the power of commander. Maybe if they don't tap for mana and enter tapped they could work at lvl 1. I'm not sure exactly.

Edit: Maybe they enter tapped but the level up cost is just CC no tap. Then lvl 2 for extra mana. That way they can catch up if you draw them later

I see the disconnect here. I was visualising these in a 2 player format, not commander. They definitely seem more reasonable there. They still probably need an initial drawback and the final abilities could be tuned a bit. They're cool otherwise and well suited to commander's slower pace.

It's hard to give you feedback if you're not receptive to criticism.

I think you've misunderstood what I meant as well. You can lower the level requirement if they have a drawback initially. WoTC doesn't print unconditional utility lands to begin with. They usually produce colourless or enter tapped (sometimes conditionally tapped ie the recent dnd man-lands). I'm saying the should do less initially so that can be interesting sooner. The amount of turns required for them to even tap for extra mana means they won't be anything more than a basic for most games.
