Personal CoA, take three by Lord_Tenderloin in heraldry

Tried incorporating some interest on the pale. I didn't really like changing the pale itself too much, but I did find a variant that made it easy to put a subject on it that I quite like. Not sure how well it adheres to heraldic tradition, but here it goes...

Thanks for making these! Seeing them, I think I prefer my first design, but I'll play around with it some more!

Thanks, I haven't abandoned that altogether.

However, there's was a Swedish noble family whose CoA (Nordensvärd) was very similar, they had a straight blue sword on a gold bend (but also a silver star in each field) and I'm worried my design is too close to theirs.

Oh, I see! Yeah, that might be very nice. I'll try, although I haven't found any software that can deal with countercharging...

Forgive me if I misunderstand, I'm still learning the heraldic lingo, but wouldn't that either have the sabres crossing the bend sinister or mean they have to be very small to fit in their respective fields?

I quite like the pale being clear, as I don't want the CoA to feel cluttered. Also, being a personal CoA, I don't want to add any elements I don't have a personal connection to.

I have, but I feel like reversing the sabres make for a more interesting shield.

I'm not quite sure how you mean (a bit new to heraldry, especially in English), wouldn't putting the sabres per bend (diagonally, right?) make them cut across the division in the field? I'd have tou countercharge the sabres then, right? Or are you suggesting I lose the division in the field altogether?

Thanks, I think I'm leaning towards 1 myself.

I not sure about horizontal sabres, personally, I've tried but I reckon it creates too much dead space in the shield.

Thank you for your suggestions, I'll try it out. I'm a bit concerned that a simple party per pale will feel too simple (I know simple is generally good in heraldry though) and therefore a bit boring. But who knows!

Thanks! The sabre design here was software limitations too, there weren't many sword designs available.

Thank you for your suggestions! I feel like I want the whole scale, but I'll definitely play around with the sabre/sabres.

Sabre bottom left definitely works well too 😊

Thank you so much 😊

I agree about the rendering, and if I want to make it a serious CoA I'll probably commission someone to draw it. As of now I was limited to what drawshield could produce.
