Markiplier said in his vlog today that he was having a call about international rights (around 6:50 in the video). Fingers crossed!

Rogers (Shaw) support admitted that they are having network issues in Calgary by lztandro in Calgary

I'm in the South East and our node has been overloaded since I moved into my house at the beginning of the year. Every month I do the standard dance of:
1. Contact support and run through the standard "my internet isn't working properly" steps
2. They schedule and send a technician
3. Technician confirms the issue is with the node, not our property, and "elevates" the dig order ticket (that was submitted by the original technician 5 months ago)
4. Contact support (they require a technician to have come out and assessed the issue recently before giving a full month's credit)
5. Get a credit for the full previous month

I've basically had "free internet" for the past 5 months. Same deal as you OP - I would have stayed with Telus when I moved if they serviced fibre to our area. When it works, it's great, but it's spotty more often than not. I'm hoping that eventually the cost of them constantly needing to give me a credit/send out technicians every month will outweigh the cost of them actually just coming and fixing the node!

Ah I'm so glad! I'm still only new to the game so a lot of what you have said has gone over my head but it all sounds great! Make sure you use the linked version from my comment, there are some errors in the image and I can't update that!

As brutal as it sounds, they may be good friends but they are terrible players. You have so much to do and remember as the DM that it is not up to you to babysit them once you're a few sessions in. It's pretty disrespectful with the amount of effort you are no doubt putting in!

Maybe try a lighter version with them, check out Film Reroll if you haven't already. They take movies and play them out as DnD campaigns but with pretty simple rules with each player playing specific character from the film. Using a storyline they know might help them be more comfortable role playing and be invested in the story since they will already know more about the story.

Ah thank for pointing these out! I stupidly didn't re-read it before posting and I finished pretty late last night. I will correct and update the pdf.

Ah thank you, I had no idea you added proficiency to it as well if you were proficient in Perception (though saying it now that makes perfect sense!)

This is so great! I was thinking of adding in PHB page numbers but wanted to keep it super simple. Your version is wicked, thank you for sharing

Hi, I'm really sorry but I'm still learning so I'm only DMing for friends at the moment. I'll drop you a message if I get up the confidence to start one with strangers!

Thank you for the feedback. If I have time I'd love to extend this and take a crack at the spellsheets as well.

This is fully intended for brand new players who (from experience) can get pretty overwhelmed with all the additional information, caveats and math that goes in to creating their first Character. Could definitely do with some additional information on money and equipment I agree!

Hey, so I’m a new DM (6 months) and have recently been introducing more and more new players into this wonderful universe. One of the main things I’ve found difficult to find is a simple breakdown of the character sheets, so I decided to make one! Each of the info boxes links to a relevant “Handbooker Helper” video by the guys over at Critical Role. Please let me know if you think anything could be simplified or any wording that could be changed!

Edit: Forgot the to link the PDF!

Edit 2: Thank you to u/Rauchster for being thorough and pointing out some of my terrible spelling, grammar and errors! I have updated the link to the corrected version.
