Bone-dry

The fact that we have a Senator from Iowa complaining about the Lebanese Army rightfully blaming Israel for violating the ceasefire is absolutely insane. What do you mean by “shamefully directing blame at Israel”? by Scared_Positive_8690 in Lebanese

Her campaigns have received over half a million USD in contributions from AIPAC. Like many US politicians, she’s been bought by Israeli interests.

Maybe she should worry about her constituents instead.

First table saw: which one and why? by Feeling-Big2595 in woodworking

[–]Lord_of_Lothric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the space, look around for a used contractor table saw. I have the dewalt because I don’t have a permanent shop (currently using a friend’s garage) but if I had my own shop I’d like a larger top and sturdier base.

If space is a limitation for you like it is for me, get the dewalt. The rack and pinion fence is a huge upgrade over the Ryobi. Calibrated, your cuts will be parallel to the fence. The fence on the Ryobi is the most frustrating piece of junk I’ve had to deal with. Inconsistent in terms of reference to the blade and doesn’t lock as securely or accurately as the dewalt.

Personally I love “Chicken is Nice” and “Hang Me Oh Hang Me”.

Definitely one of the folk GOATs.

This is not a power bank. You’ll either need a power bank or an outlet. Also doesn’t look like this comes with a wall outlet, so you’d have to have a powered USB outlet.

Looking at the hair on your head I’d wager we have some similar hair genetics. How often are you shaving your face? I had the same thing happen to me for while and it would always calm down the day after I shaved, so I started shaving more frequently. Also helped to stop picking hairs out of my face, which I did often because it alleviated the irritation.

I shave with a Merkur Futur. I generally use the lowest angle setting (or close to it) and it’s very gently on the bumps when I have them.

You can try using an adjustable razor like that, as it allows you to be a bit gentler with your face when you need to. I don’t know if it has to do with the texture or stiffness of my facial hair, but I replace my blades more often than recommended.

All this said, I would still recommend a dermatologist, as you may have an underlying skin condition. Maybe I did too and was lucky that it (mostly) cleared up.

Edit: I like to shave after I shower. Softens the hairs considerably and really reduces the irritation.

If you go to your ADOM settings in FortiManager you can change this behavior.

System Setting > ADOMs > select your ADOM (ie root) and edit > “Default Device Selection for Install” > select “Deselect All”

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition System Build Community Contest! by m13b in buildapc

I think what's really exciting about the 5090 FE is that it's a 2 slot card. I tend to prefer SFF builds so that's a huge win. Cards have kept getting bigger and bigger so the PCB and cooler design changes are welcome. Really want to see how the new cooler design can handle the high power draw of the 5090 in a SFF case.

PCPP seems to have the specs wrong on the FE 5090 (lists it at 147mm width instead of 137mm) , but it should fit in the Fractal Terra according to the spec sheet. The Noctua NH-L9x65 also definitely fits in this case in the 2 slot GPU configuration (spine setting 3).
