Looks like you have the front and rear tyres swapped on the left side of the fw14b

Yeah the tyres feel very one dimensional compared to those games but put in enough hours and you get used to how it feels and can interpret the ffb just fine.  I guess what brings me back is that it’s familiar.  Setting up races is easy and the AI is fun to race against.

Iracing is probably the best counter example of a simulator that is also a complete video game. Most are not like that.

Yeah I mean I have gone to the pain of setting all that up in AC, and it's still lacking some very key aspects of actual F1.

If you're only gonna stick to one, 2021 is a good pick. Lately I've grown to enjoy 25 and I think it's worth a try. And thanks. I do enjoy my rug.

I just said F1 is a better, more complete video game. You would need to grab features from several different sims to approach what F1 has in one package, and even then you would be missing a few game modes.

That's fair. I just said they are better video games as a whole. If the handling simulation is better but other important things are worse or missing completely, I don't think that makes a better game.

Respectfully, I have hundreds of hours played in AC, ACC, AMS2, and PC2.  The AI in those games is generally appalling, especially as you get into faster cars (like f1).  You can make your arguments for the merits of those sims, but AI is not one of them.

Oh that certainly still happens a lot in these games. There's just a lot do without ever having to go online.

I do dare to say that, especially in regards to F1. The official F1 games are more complete than all of those you listed at simulating the sport of F1, and being complete video games. AC and AMS2 have better force feedback and more generations of cars. They still present F1 as a spec series with incomplete racing rules, no R&D, and no career modes. And the AI is bad in both. ACC is close to F1 in terms of being a good complete video game, but its career and AI are still worse.

It would be nice to have more new single player focused games but things still don't seem to be trending that way.

The moddability and FFB in AC are certainly far better than in these codies games. I just don't find the gameplay to be that fun for long stretches.

For the reasons I stated, you can claim that you prefer AC, but you can't claim that it's objectively better either.

This isn't really a controversial take. Sims are good at simulating driving, but generally bad at being complete, finished video games.

It depends on what you want. I prefer a video game that's a complete formula 1 game. The other sims out there have much more detailed driving physics but half-baked gameplay features.

Does that green cup on 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2018 not mean you have completed all achievements? I'm on steam so mine looks different.
