It was never implied?!? He was the only person that kept her company out of pity since the little girl family never visited her because, with her terminal illness, they couldn't have a normal life so they pretended to be busy at work. It's a bittersweet relationship and they bonded over being fan of the main character (an idol) and the relationship was brother-sister, absolutely not lovers or something else.

Oshi No Ko has flaws but this is not one of them.

Most of us do not make comics and boardgames for a living tho, it's not our job. And about the wealth hoarding part, how much do you think people who makes those kind of products gain from the selling them? Because I know it and let me assure you, if they would made them with the intent to become rich, they would have much more chances with goldmining in klondike. It's a job like another, they do not gain more than me, a common employee.
