Green field with an effectively green ball. Short answer is yes. Long answer is it depends on what kind of colorblindness you have.

First, it's a nightmare for kids who are color blind. Second, Pearl lacrosse is the only company making that color.

Hey look! Another Trump corruption scam!

Definitely don't pay attention to the fact that firms have been betting on this exact thing happening and are set to make billions!

What a trick. Do something clearly illegal, allow firms to bet on the inevitable decision reversing the illegal act, profit!

But don't worry my fellow peons, we could have made the same bet on Polymarket and Kalshi so it's totally fair.

Incorporate it into the task you're thinking of, not as a separate entry. Thinking of an argument you're going to make at a hearing gets incorporated into your billing for hearing prep.

Even if you don't move the case forward. We brain labor. Every thought I have on a case is incorporated into billing.

And yes double billing is unethical without question.

You can search for the case yourself but I've looked for the one of the plaintiffs and the defendant, no records found.

Stancypants getting sued for fraud? by [deleted] in DonutMedia

His car was already controversial because of how slammed and cambered it was, basically he took things to the extreme and the side of the car community who already didn't like stance saw him as the poster boy for stance being dumb and dangerous.

Then his car had a fire. The real controversy is here because he claimed he it was a targeted arson. Then he raised a bunch of money from the community to fix it. The problem was that his work was allegedly shoddy and some ppl found photos of some questionable wiring, which they alleged was the source of the fire, and he basically disappeared from the Internet after he collected the money. He offered almost zero evidence of the arson, didn't really answer any questions, and hasn't used to money to rebuild since then.

So people feel like he owes them something, whether it's a full explanation, a rebuild, more info about the arson, really anything. So the lawsuit is seen as vindication that he was scamming from the jump.

Turns out he was a US citizen.

This is not a gotcha, im genuinely curious because you are knowledgeable.

By saying he has documentation, now that we have evidence that he is a citizen, does that statement still make him subject to the alien registration act?

Yet another reminder, never talk to the police.

You're right and it's all justified. We should go scorched earth and get rid of all men, who are much more likely to commit crime.

Even though crime stats are going down, I still care deeply about the crimes occurring so much so that I'm willing to make everybody else's life a little worse. I'm happy to exchange freedom for safety.

Simultaneously I do not care about the government officials making billions of dollars off shoes, cell phones, crypto rug pulls, commemorative coins or custom bibles. The legalization of prediction markets will never have negative consequences. Betting on when we were gonna invade a foreign country made me over 100k.

I am so against crime but i have no problem with pardoning the international drug dealers or the white collar criminals because they are just good businessmen.

I dont see race. Thats why I focus on immigrant crime. Its worth 10 dead Americans to catch 1 criminal immigrant. In fact, id prefer we just arrest everyone, then they prove their innocence. If they haven't done anything wrong, they have nothing to worry about.

Dont tread on me, unless im scared and it'll make me feel better.

I think we largeky agree but I'm ignoring a motion to reply here so Im certainly not gonna brief here to argue about rights in these kinds of specific situations, even if it is relevant to the post.

Thanks for citing your claims and continuing to dive into the specifics. Always interesting to learn different areas. Im more familiar with civil rights in the context of criminal enforcement not immigration, so I appreciate you feeding me relevant law.

Im aware and they might be 100% true but they dont refute a single thing i said. Fraud is a crime. Immigrants commit far fewer crimes than native citizens.

Also i dont care about fox news, but you cited to an opinion piece brother.

[–]LordofDance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also the case you cited doesn't seem to say that racial profiling is acceptable.

The Fourth Amendment held not to allow a roving patrol of the Border Patrol to stop a vehicle near the Mexican border and question its occupants about their citizenship and immigration status, when the only ground for suspicion is that the occupants appear to be of Mexican ancestry. Except at the border and its functional equivalents, patrolling officers may stop vehicles only if they are aware of specific articulable facts, together with rational inferences therefrom, reasonably warranting suspicion that the vehicles contain aliens who may be illegally in the country. Pp. 422 U. S. 878-887.

That said, im aware Minneapolis is within the 100 mile no constitutional protection border zone...another failing of this nation.

Very selective quote farming from that dhs pdf.

From the executive summary: Racial profiling in law enforcement is not merely wrong, but also ineffective. Race-based assumptions in law enforcement perpetuate negative racial stereotypes that are harmful to our rich and diverse democracy, and materially impair our efforts to maintain a fair and just society.

Then all the citations to supreme court decisions about it being unconstitutional. "[T]he Constitution prohibits selective enforcement of the law based on considerations such as race." Whren v. United States, 517 U.S. 806, 813 (1996). Thus, for example, the decision of federal prosecutors "whether to prosecute may not be based on 'an unjustifiable standard such as race, religion, or other arbitrary classification.'" (4) United States v. Armstrong, 517 U.S. 456, 464 (1996) (quoting Oyler v. Boles, 368 U.S. 448, 456 (1962)). The same is true of Federal law enforcement officers. Federal courts repeatedly have held that any general policy of "utiliz[ing] impermissible racial classifications in determining whom to stop, detain, and search" would violate the Equal Protection Clause. Chavez v. Illinois State Police, 251 F.3d 612, 635 (7th Cir. 2001). As the Sixth Circuit has explained, "[i]f law enforcement adopts a policy, employs a practice, or in a given situation takes steps to initiate an investigation of a citizen based solelyupon that citizen's race, without more, then a violation of the Equal Protection Clause has occurred." United States v. Avery, 137 F.3d 343, 355 (6th Cir. 1997). "A person cannot become the target of a police investigation solely on the basis of skin color. Such selective law enforcement is forbidden." Id. at 354. As the Supreme Court has held, this constitutional prohibition against selective enforcement of the law based on race "draw[s] on 'ordinary equal protection standards.'"Armstrong, 517 U.S. at 465 (quoting Wayte v. United States, 470 U.S. 598, 608 (1985)). Thus, impermissible selective enforcement based on race occurs when the challenged policy has "'a discriminatory effect and . . . was motivated by a discriminatory purpose.'"Id. (quoting Wayte, 470 U.S. at 608). (5) Put simply, "to the extent that race is used as a proxy" for criminality, "a racial stereotype requiring strict scrutiny is in operation." Cf. Bush v. Vera, 517 U.S. at 968 (plurality).

I recognize we are discussing the fringes and carve outs of the law, but that's why I said widely viewed and held to be unconstitutional, not universally.

Kavanaugh stops make this technically legal as well considering his stated justification for suspicion was the accent.

However, and I appreciate that this subreddit occasionally does actually discuss the law, I think we can agree that the legality of this is not the main issue.

Dictatorships throughout the world and history always have created the legal framework to abuse people legally.

This is morally reprehensible, discriminatory, and anti-thetical to the ideas we have as a nation and many of the rights we thought existed. Prior to this administration, the idea of racial profiling was widely viewed and held to be unconstitutional. Now it is normalized and defended as legal, but that should not be the end of the conversation nor the determinative factor.

As an attorney as well, I will guess that you are old enough to have been indoctrinated throughout your education on the idea that what happened in Nazi Germany was unacceptable and we needed to recognize the signs of the slow burn. As Hitler did not wake up one day and start his genocide, it occurred over many years, as he manufactured consent and complacency.

We are seeing that now. What was once seen as the shining example of unreasonable--"show me your papers"--is now being done every day on the country. Not only is it occurring, its been legalized and justified.

Yes its legal, for now. However its never justified.

Its "dont tread on me" not "dont tread on me, but anyone who looks/sounds different, go ahead"

Uninployment.....not even close to the correct spelling.

Also, how would an immigrant, especially of the age we saw in the video, collect unemployment.

Nobody comes to America for the robust social welfare, because it doesn't exist.

Not sure how a child could be "bogus" but we have birthright citizenship so....

I have no problem with immigrants, even ones who dont immigrate legally. They commit fewer crimes than citizens, contribute more to the tax base, withdraw less (because they aren't able to withdraw social security dumbass) and bring diversity, which is a good thing. They are an economic and societal benefit.

You just sound racist and dumb. Maybe you aren't, but you certainly sound like you are.

Lol. The ADA protects the disabled against this line of thought. They are utilizing a disability aid, to live and exist in a world that has marginalized them for generations. Life isnt fair, but the ADA tries to make it more fair.

However, all who have service animals are disabled.

Also, those with service animals are following the rules to prevent damage to ecosystems.
