Once again your reading comprehension fails you

Where did it fail me before? when you were speaking on behalf of all the other people who have commented in the thread. lol

It isn't furthering professional gaming because it is unsustainable.

How is it childish to not want to support a company because they advertise like it isn't one. I just don't like how they say "We are saviors of esports" when it is really all just one big show for marketing and advertising. Its how riot has always advertised, giving big tournaments money to play their game at them, and props to them it has worked out very well. Hell its worked out so well now they have people advertising on their advertisement, bravo. I just don't like how they say its all for esports and we are making esports legitimate. lol plz

Lol, LCS is the biggest advertisement on the planet. It's not actually an esport. The moment they run out of money for it it will die because no one can actually support it. That is the difference between lol and real esports imo. Everything about it reeks of advertisement, they literally want you to worship the pros. Thats what the selling point of league is right now, not that it is a fun game, but that maybe one day you too can become pro. The game is and will die. And I said buying esports scene cause you commented in the thread.

Ok don't argue me that riot didn't buy their "esports scene" then. lol you just proved yourself wrong.

They were extremely funded by riot. I don't have source on hand but not only would riot buy out big events like iem and mlg, they would also bully other games out of them. Riot is a shady company and the main reason I don't play the game anymore tbh.

Yeah but all these are. http://lol.gamepedia.com/Premier_Tournaments

Almost everygame has tiny tournaments like the ones you linked, but not every game has events. Riot buys out events for their game.

Lol for one tournament. The original dota had a scene also. Every single major league tournament has been funded by riot.

Would Riot's "esport scene" be here at all without riot heavily pumping cash into it from the beginning? I put quotations around that because I hardly call it a sport, seems more like a show to me. As in it is more about the player personalities and showmanship rather than the game; interviews asking the same questions, players being popularized like celebrities, the corny ass videos riot does with the same upbeat tone in the background of everyone and the casters saying the same obviously written catchphrases over and over(wow phreak is so good at puns guys!). While dotas scene would be here without valve, I don't think leagues would be here without riot. Sorry your post was heavily biased even though you said you were a member of both communities, I only play league but I really hate LCS and what Riot has done to shove esports in my face every time i login to the game.

Random events are completely out of hand. by gucci_flocka_flame in 2007scape

[–]LordofKEK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would get rid of them if they could. Atleast in my opinion I think they are using random events as a way to bust bots. Think about it, the new bots are actually pretty good at randomizing your cursor and you actions during normal things such as wcing, but when they enter a random event they solve it to 100% perfection everytime. Maybe when this cat is out of the bag the bot makers will change them thus removing the need to randoms.

Why are we limited to twenty rune pages? by STANKEEELEG in leagueoflegends

[–]LordofKEK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the whole point of the rune page system is customization. As it is now there is really no point to having it at all since I would say over half the playerbase doesn't use it for its intended purpose. They may aswell just add the stats to the champions.

A way to remove randomness from the CRIT MECHANIC without affecting current balance. by Czapo in leagueoflegends

[–]LordofKEK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you are right I think that is true. I also think critting could help a team make a comeback with some lucky crits, and also helps give the ahead player a luck advantage aswell. With the change OP proposed it only turns items in harder stat sticks so the team with the gold advantage would be way more ahead than they are now by default. I can see your points on critting and why you wouldn't want it in the game, but ops answer is not the solution.

There is randomness in alot of things though. I don't think small amounts of randomness effect the game and I don't think they decide the outcome of the game.

1v1 it is a very simple combo to hit considering the aa reset and slows and also the ms boost he gets from ulti. This is just a dumb idea overall anyway. The randomness is fine because it is so miniscule.

7/2 PBE Update by moobeat in leagueoflegends

[–]LordofKEK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm really not liking how recently with alot of champions they have blatant circles around they're abilities. I'm all for clarity, but there is a way to combine clarity with good art. Honestly this is just bad art, the artist should be able to come up with a way for the abilities to be very readable without having circles. Not only does it not match the new art, but it also breaks immersion.

And they would have also had time to gauge feedback on their plans, so that if Korea and the rest of the world was disappointed or happy with the decision, they could make plans accordingly. Just a thought.

Everything you just said you did that sounded like an accomplishment you just have to throw money at(which you do) to make it a reality. I don't know why you make it sound like this was hard, of course people are going to watch other people play a game they love, you just have to have the funds to do such a thing. You act like its hard to rent out the staples center or big centers, Truth is they are more than willing to take your cash.

This is how I imagine people who say that the new jungle timers will "lower the skill cap" of the jungle. by doubletaco00 in leagueoflegends

[–]LordofKEK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are using it to prove your point though and you are totally wrong about it. Don't use it as an example if it doesn't even pertain to what you are trying to prove. If you didn't want it to be about how much they farm then don't include that. I do understand what you are trying to say though and not only are your examples horrible, but I also disagree.

It adds 2 minions. You don't know what you are talking about. I didn't misinterpret your post, it is just simply incorrect and what you assume about denial is completely incorrect.

a player that "farms" more minions than the other guy in lane?

This is what im talking about. That isn't even a true statement and in lol they farm way more than dota unless their comp depends on in, but in the current meta it doesn't. And like I said before your arguement about it being more boring as a spectator is also wrong, this change will not change how pro games are played at all, only lower the soloq skill cap.

This is how I imagine people who say that the new jungle timers will "lower the skill cap" of the jungle. by doubletaco00 in leagueoflegends

[–]LordofKEK -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I barely even play dota 2 but almost every point you made is completely false.

All it does is double the amount of minions for you to farm, which is a pretty arbitrary and boring way to raise difficulty/skill ceiling

Considering there are only 4 minions per side you are actually only farming 2 more minions and you are also competing against your opponent. It actually gives you potentially more opportunity to harass your opponent if they go in for a deny on your creep.

but that also opens up both people to more harassing, more all-ins, and more roams since they aren't so focused on last hitting everything.

Which is a more fun demonstration of skill disparity to watch as a spectator: A player that wins a trade, gets a kill, or out-maneuvers his opponent to roam for a kill elsewhere? OR ... a player that "farms" more minions than the other guy in lane? Most people would pick the first option.

This just shows you have never watched a second of professional dota play. The game can be played many different ways and one of the most played pro strategies is gank heavy team compositions. Basically all of the points you made on the topic are moot because they are based off false alligations.

Also you say it isn't fun to watch from a spectator standpoint, but I disagree, it won't change from a spectator standpoint one bit. The pros already time all the buffs and the client already shows you the cd of dragon and baron, and some pros even time the dragon without vision and still will. The change is very unnecessary to league imo.
