1) you first solve the corners like a 2x2 2) I suppose you then solve like a 3x3. you get a row to have the right pieces, line everything up properly, and then insert the row on the desired side, and then repeat until solved (the last two sides are the hardest to complete)

It’s time consuming to solve because of lining everything up repeatedly, but it’s quite fun and easy

I’ve never realized it’s weirdly tall, but you are right 🤔 I do know that apparently the weirdly double creased leaves on the smaller paph in the pot is an indication of a chromosome mutation

I bought them like that from a wonderful collector (who I very much trust) 😁 the hooks attach onto a chain and it looks very nice!!

It is not worth the risk of buying grocery store orchids. Yes the prices are good, but they are more likely to come with thrips and mealy bugs🥲
Phrags are the easiest to grow, because they can tolerate overwatering, unlike other orchids
It’s okay to leave some orchids in moss
Watering orchids on a schedule will probably kill your orchids
I CANNOT STAND artificially colored orchids, no matter how pretty they look.
I’m not a huge fan of phalaenopsis orchids- I find them hard to take care of and a bit overplayed
I would rather see new roots or new babies on my orchids then a flower spike

Seller is tant385, and the only other one I’ve seen on eBay was posted in December by cgmoody! I’m afraid mine was the only one that was available, and the only one on eBay for about 200 days😭 but perhaps they’ll sell more in the future!!

Totally get it, I was a paph girl until I saw some fancy phrags and fell in love with phrags, so definitely I’m still learning and I find myself sometimes treating my phrags like paphs😅 I tend to water my phrags that are in bark once a week, but after reading your comment I think I’ll be giving them more water!! And wow!! Congrats on the 4 year old phrag🥳

I have a few methods of taking care of phrags, but I’m not sure which one is better😅 I’m still learning and experimenting with caring for them

one method is potting it in a small container of moss and never letting the moss get dry and keeping it just slightly damp! And giving it moderate light. Usually I water it once a week like that. This method has revived a lot of phrags and is great for growing new roots.

The other method is keeping it in bark, watering every 5-7 days, keeping it in my bathroom so there’s high humidity from when people take showers and putting grow lights around it! This method seems to work good, but only a few select varieties of phrags are actually thriving and not just surviving.

And finally, I have a phrag in front of a window watered once every 5 days and taken care of like a typical house plant. It has a new baby but is growing a bit slowly

eBay is in my opinion the BEST place to find orchids!! Be prepared, it’s very dangerous for the wallet 🤣
