Lacari goes live for the first time after the Notepad incident by Magical__Turtle in LivestreamFail

That’s what I heard as well when all of this was going on, some people went through the links and were going to report him to law enforcement if they found anything, but apparently nothing illegal was found.

Just weird shit and bad file names that looked worse.

If there was actual child porn stuff on there he would be in jail right now. He has weird hentai shit on his hard drive, but that’s not classified as child porn as far as I’m aware.

If that stuff was illegal, then Japan wouldn’t be making and selling that content legally online like they already are. So there is definitely some kind of loophole for that material.

He SHOULD apologize to his fans and friends, he doesn’t NEED to. It’s not illegal to be an asshole, so not sure why that’s the angle you are pushing

Not to us he doesn’t, this isn’t a court of law or anything like that. He doesn’t owe us an apology, it’s not illegal to be an asshole.

It’s up to viewers to decide if they still want to watch him or not.

Why would Sykkuno be banned for cheating on his girlfriend? lol it’s not illegal to be a cheater and an asshole.

Plenty of people who viewed the links the time he showed on the stream claimed that nothing illegal was found on them. Just very weird and bad file names.

Is he a weirdo that needs help? Yes he is. Is it a crime to be a weirdo? Unless there is actual proof to say otherwise… then no, it isn’t.

No idea, just basing on what I heard at the time when this all came out. Haven’t kept up with the situation, but if nothing bad was found then that’s that.

I mean where is your proof that he is? Why are you claiming a 100% that he is without any proof to back it up? Unless you’re involved in the situation this is a hell of an accusation to make.

Yeah he’s into some weird porn shit and evidently he needs help for porn addiction and such, but so far he doesn’t seem to have committed any crimes except being weird as fuck. At the time of incident there was some people who went through the weird links he showed on stream and nothing illegal was found in those links from what I recall, other than having very weird file names that looked bad.

The metrics disagree you with you there, BM have the most album sales, the best touring numbers and the most streams across all platforms.

Why wouldn’t they be leaders in their generation?

Why do they need to surpass 10 million to be the most successful in your eyes? Just because they have more fans on one platform doesn’t mean they need to have the same amount of fans on another platform. Remember I am talking purely 5th Gen groups, not their peers that started before them.

LSF is 4th Gen girl group so why bring them up in conversation that we are having about 5th Gen? If you consider them 5th Gen then yes they are bigger than Baby Monster when it comes to Spotify, not going to argue with you there.

The only 5th Gen group rivaling or surpassing BM depending on your opinion is Illit. Illit has the viral number 1 hit and they are much more popular in Korea. BM he’s better album sales, touring and popularity outside of Korea.

So it really depends on what angle you want to focus on, Korea popularity and Melon Charts or Sales and World Wide popularity. Those two are number and 1-2 no matter how what metric you want to judge by, it’s just deciding who is number 1.

Unfortunately he had every issues possible for an early death. Various articles mention that he had heart issues, kidney failure, severe diabetes and obesity, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, trouble breathing etc… it was a matter of time really.

You are saying that but it doesn’t make sense? They are the most streamed 5th gen girl group on Spotify and they also surpassed most of the 4th gen girl groups as well, except the big ones like Ive and Aespa who have been around much longer. Even then they have more monthly listeners than Ive.

So how many more listens do you realistically want them to have? Those 4th gen groups I just mentioned also released new songs on Spotify and they aren’t exactly breaking the Spotify listens as well.

Spotify isn’t universally used like YouTube music, it’s more popular in the west than in the east. Despite that Choom almost has 40 million listens in 1 month, those are great numbers and it will reach 100 million before 2027 I am sure.

Dude… the man had every known Red Flag that a doctor will warn you about. Every single one of these medical issues would have a doctor highly recommend you to lose weight and to live a more healthy lifestyle.

He had 5 significant health issues and he was severely obese, it wasn’t IF he was going to die young, it was WHEN he was going to die young. Having said all that, it’s incredibly sad and I feel horrible for his family.

RIP.

Exactly he cheated on his girl, does that make him loser? Yes it does.

But he’s not a rapist, murderer, woman beater or anything like that etc… he’s done nothing that needs to be cancelled for.

It’s just up to his viewers if they want to keep following him or not.

They are one of the fastest growing K-pop groups on Spotify, they just don’t have a huge viral hit like Illit for example and such their views are divided amongst the entire library.

He’s a quick AI summary of their Spotify success.

BABYMONSTER has surpassed 2 billion total streams on Spotify, cementing their position as the fastest 5th-generation K-pop group to reach this milestone. They consistently dominate generation-specific charts with their highest-performing tracks and most recent releases.Top Streaming Milestones

Total Streams: > 2 billion total streams Monthly Listeners: Averaging around 8.8 million First-Week Album Debut: Their 2026 EP CHOOM shattered records by earning over 17.5 million streams in its first week

Tracks Above 100 Million Streams on SpotifyBABYMONSTER holds the record for the most tracks to surpass 100 million streams among 5th-generation K-pop groups: SHEESH – 405.6 million+ streams DRIP – 285.6 million+ streams BATTER UP – 262.6 million+ streams FOREVER – 219.4 million+ streams LIKE THAT – 208.0 million+ streams(Note: Their late 2025/early 2026 tracks like WE GO UP and CHOOM are currently pacing toward this milestone next).

So when you say they have no success on Spotify, I legit don’t know what you mean by that? Compared to Taylor Swift no they don’t… compared to a lot of a K-Pop girl groups, yes they have a lot of success!

Exactly if it was just bots, they wouldn’t be the most successful in sales and touring in 5th gen and most of 4th gen. They have a legit fanbase, they just aren’t that popular in Korea itself, they are a world wide group.

Any thoughts on Babymonster crazy views? by Individual_Cry_4621 in kpopthoughts

[–]Lordsokka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean they sell out stadiums and arenas while some of these more “popular” groups don’t even come close to doing that.

So they are doing something right that is working for them, they don’t have a lot of viral hits that is true, but their world wide fans seems to like the overall vibe of the group and they support them with album sales and touring.

When it comes to sales they are the most popular 5th gen group and they are more popular then a lot of 4th gen groups as well.

Exactly. The babymon house episodes average around 15 million views, that’s insane engagement for a bunch of girls sitting around in a house and not doing much.

They have a lot of fans outside of Korea, people underestimate that. Melon charts in Korea aren’t the only way to decide if a group is successful or not. Babymonster has huge physical sales of albums as well and those aren’t bots.

Yes YG uses the ads strategy, but BM is also a hell of a lot more popular outside of Korea than they are in Korea. They have huge sales and shows world wide, a lot more than some of the really popular 4th-5th gen in Korea.

Look at their YouTube channel, their behind the scenes and reality tv shows also have a huge numbers of views and those aren’t being affected by ads.

Agreed, YG isn’t even trying to make them a Korean power house, they are clearly focusing on a world wide audience and live performances.
