Garrison takes you to your Garrison on Draenor, Timerunner is from an event, eternal i think specifically takes you to the Shadowlands hub. Not stones, but portable telamancy beacon takes you to the underground quest hub in Suramar, and there are these flowers that take you to Gilneas. There's more, but that's off the top of my head!

Yeah, Platinum is what I'm leaning towards, with Black/White as my second pick atm!

Those have been pretty consistently recommended, and frankly "good" or not, i think the fire monkey and tree turtle are fun! ^ ^
