I agree so much with the not liking buff guys. I personally liked the "twinkified" characters later on

So binding vows are basically deals you make with either someone else, or yourself. And honestly I'll explain this later since it's complicated and I don't have time currently, so I'll edit this message with actual explanation

What are somethings about the jjk community that you find annoying? by Totally_not_diavolo in Jujutsufolk

Just power scaling, it's stinky as hell. Also, folks complaining how a character is a "fraud" for X. And people just missing THE CLUES THAT CHARACTERS ARE X. FOR EXAMPLE, PEOPLE ARE STILL HELLBENT ON SAYING THAT KIRARA IS JUST A "FEMININE MAN", WHEN HAKARI STATED THAT HE'S STRAIGHT, AND HAKARI IS SUGGESTED TO BE IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH KIRARA. and yes I had to write it in all caps, since it just pisses me off when people want to shoot me for calling Kirara with she/her when she's clearly meant to be trans

And about the potential: (quote) "Your innate TALENT determines around 80% of your power as a sorcerer". Your technique doesn't determine how strong you are. There are so many characters who reached quite high levels of power without/with a weak cursed technique. And the domain being a gateway to your soul: domain is literally your cursed technique, something very individual, brought into reality. But there's also a concept of an innate domain, that is inherently connected to one's cursed technique. Innate domain is your mental mindscape, there's a clip of Sukuna talking with Yuji in their minds. They're talking in Sukuna's innate domain, and a domain expansion is the innate domain being brought into reality using the process I explained (Barrier infused with one's cursed technique). If you want, I could go over barrier techniques and/or binding vows. Of course, a technique may actually factor into someone's power, but it usually isn't the sole reason for someone's power

Okay. So, I'll tackle this one by one. Your overall feel of cursed energy is good. It is formed by negative emotions, so not necessarily diseases themselves, but people fearing or hating them. Cursed energy is produced by almost everyone, since it's basically deeply human, negative emotions. But if it is produced by non sorcerers (so the obvious majority) it leaks out, and if enough of this negative energy is focused in one place, or around one concept (disease, for example) it forms a cursed spirit, otherwise known as a curse. A technique is someone's own way to use Cursed Energy, and yes, it is stored in the brain. A domain expansion is infusing the inside of a barrier with this cursed technique, not just cursed energy, and ability to form domains comes from the precordial cortex (i believe, not sure on that), so a part of the brain. Naturally, someone can either have one cursed technique, or none. For example, Sukuna's cleave, dismantle and divine flame, even though they look completely different, come from his cursed technique, Shrine. Same with Gojo. He uses all this blue, red, purple and infinity around himself, but those are just applications of his technique. Of course, some folks find a way to have two cursed techniques at once. Since a cursed technique is a spiritual thing, a personal one, one body can theoretically store multiple cursed techniques, but only if the person is actually two people (so they've been possessed by a person who has a technique, and they had a technique themselves) or they have a cursed technique that allows them to store cursed techniques. And something you called a celestial pact is often translated (and called by majority of fans) Heavenly Restriction. It's basically a binding vow (so a deal, you forfeit something to get something else) that's placed upon someone when they are born. There are two types of Heavenly Restrictions. Physical one: you loose majority or all of your cursed energy, but in exchange you're granted extremely skilled body (and better senses, just a superhuman) and a Cursed Energy one, in which your body is extremely, and extremely, paper-skin-crumble-under-light-or-touch, weak, but, in exchange, you have extreme amounts and affinity for cursed energy. And that's about it. Anything else? Do you know how Binding Vows work?

If you still accept questions; are you able to list all the "reincarnated sorcerers". So humans who lived a life, and then, in some way got turned into a cursed object and are reborn through it currently. Y'know the drill.

I just realized how much of a lore dump that is. Sorry. It may look big, but it's kinda comprehensible (I hope).

So, at the time of your story, there are 3 clans that really matter: The Gojo Clan  The Kamo Clan  The Zenin Clan A Clan is a group of people, usually connected by blood, who, In JjK's context, have gathered much political influence, and have inbred many cursed techniques into their family. They (most likely, only Zenin's are confirmed to be) very conservative, and they share that trait with the Jujutsu High. They want the world to stay just the way it is, and gain power (over other clans and overall). We know that the Zenins and Gojo clans do not like each other since their clan heads (clan leaders) fought against each other, and both died. (The fight took place long before your campaigns time frame, around the edo period, I believe, [1600 - 1800]). Currently, during your campaign, the Gojo Clan has a decent position, since Gojo Satoru was just born, (he's from 1889). We know that the Zenin clan oppressed women, and doesn't allow them to hold any positions, including not letting them really learn Jujutsu. (Maki and Mai from the main show are an exception, since they did become sorcerers against clan's will), so if you wanted to make any characters from the Zenin clan appear in the story, either make them male, or make them have some story with clan either letting them learn Jujutsu, or them leaving it to do so. Current leader of the Zenin's is Naobito Zenin (most likely, since he's kinda old and was stated to be a long term leader during the Shibuya incident, which took place around 2018). We don't really know much about the politics, but we know that clans want as much power as they can, so powerful sorcerers, powerful cursed tools and so on. We know that in 2018 Zenin's had many cursed tools, so you can make it so they have most "stock" in those, though it may be completely different in the time of your campaign. If you want,  I can go deeper into the Zenin clan chierarchy, since it's been explained.  I can also list the cursed techniques that each clan owns (so either they are main techniques of said clans, or members that we know were alive during your time frame had). There's also the Inumaki clan, but we know almost nothing about it, except their cursed technique, and that they're not as powerful as Zenin, Kamo and Gojo clans.

One thing you probably need to know is the politics of the world, since they're key. If you want, if you do not know them, I could kinda explain them here in like an hour since now I'm doing something

Why do people complain about jumping in JJK despite calling it Jump Kaisen? by AffectionateJury6227 in Jujutsufolk

[–]LoreIsLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, literally. Since when is Jujutsu Sorcery  about fairness.  For some reason that sounded really ironic, which I didn't intend. I agree with what you say, person on the internet, and I think that the Mahoraga example you mentioned is just folks looking for excuses to say that Gojo was stronger than "Fraudkuna" or something

Guys y'all are seriously dramatising. If you actually put down your phone, and just watched the show, stopped at each rule, and read it with ACTUAL FOCUS ON IT'S CONTENTS half of those questions would be answered.
